Le is an affordable service for all your alteration needs. The service that I selected was hemming slacks to a shorter length.
The task was done admirably and the pants look just like new, except a little shorter (as requested).
The alteration was done the next day, although a sign says that they can do it as you wait if necessary.
The cost was only $6 per pair of pants -- a bargain if you ask me.

Outshiner owns several businesses in the East Lansing and Okemos area. In Okemos, on Jolly Road they own a Quick Lube store where you can get your oil changed or wash your car (self-serve car wash).
Outshiner Quick Lube is great because I have yet to see a line or had to wait to get serviced. What's more, if you have multiple cars and you bring them in for an oil change on the same day, you get 50% off the second car (equal or lessor value, of course).
When I lived in Okemos, we would do this every 3000 miles, and never had to wait once.

Vitality is a great Chiropractic center. The doctor's name is Randy. He uses a diversified technique that can make anyone love chiropractic care. I went for headaches and it has helped more than just my headaches. It is great for stress relieve, losing weight and cramps. After you get adjusted you get to lay on a roller table which massages your back, it feels awesome. The office is very welcoming and the office staff is very friendly.

You wouldn't think that a software company that makes such hits a "Snag-it" would be located in a tiny community like Okemos, but they are.
Tech Smith, located near Cracker Barrel in Okemos, makes the popular screencapturing software "Snag it" as well as a few other software titles. I have used the "Print Screen" button and Photoshop to do screen shots for years, but Tech Smith has invented a way to capture scrolling windows, which is a leap forward in screen capturing.
No longer do I have to take multiple screen shots and cropping them together! Thanks TechSmith!

The food from Akagi is delicious.
Try the Chicken Teriyaki, the California rolls, or the curry -- all merit high marks and are affordable.
Food portions are a little small here, so I'd recommend getting multiple courses (sushi & dinner) if you are a big eater.
The menu is a little limited, but the end result is that the food that they do serve is delicious.

This is a spectacular business that creates the most fabulous gift baskets. While they do have some standard gift baskets and have plenty of ideas for anyone needing inspiration, they are also wonderful at helping to create a custom basket that will be sure to make the recipient feel special and thrilled. There is always a strong attention to detail and beautiful end result. Wonderful people to work with! They are extremely professional and truly care about making the gift all that you want for it to be. We have used them many times and have always been most impressed!

Sahara's is in the plaza at the corner of Jolly and Okemos Roads. We sometimes get our food to go, but if it is lunch time we are just as likely to eat in and have the lunch buffet. I especially like the Moe's Special which is chicken or chicken kabobs...their hummus and pita are superb. Other members of my family particularly like the gyros, the chicken shwarma and the tabouli salad. The servers here have always been pleasant, the atmosphere is okay...booths and tables are available. AND if you watch your mailbox for coupons...there are often coupons in a mailer I get to "occupant" that have buy one get one free entree...or the like. Sahara's is one of our local favorite restaurants.

If a root canal can be a good experience...Dr. Tygesen is the one to provide it. His professionalism and skill is exceptional. His staff is friendly and helpful. When I mentioned that my regular dentist provided music through headphones ...the receptionist offered to bring in her walkman if I had a CD I'd like to listen to during the surgery...and she actually DID !!! I highly recommend Dr Tygesen and his staff .
