Playmakers is a fantastic sporting good store that looks like a large-chain store. It is locally owned and used to be in the Meridian Mall in Okemos, now it is just down the street on Grand River.
The new store is HUGE, and is rather breathtaking. When you walk inside, you are immediately drawn to the back of the store where you'll see a huge rock formation which forms the second level, along with tropical plants and a mural of paradise.
Whether you're shopping for sporting clothes, or just want to see a fantastically designed store, check out Playmakers. I highly recommend it.

This store is a true one stop shop for any dancer. The shop is small in size, but packed full with tons of leotards, unitards, dance bags and all kinds of tights and dance shoes for young children up through adults. Outfits range from the basic to the fancy...the latter of which can get pricey! My daughter loves this store so much, as many of the outfits truly are beautiful with lovely colors, sparkles or sequins. The ladies who work here know their stuff. Simply by telling them where you take dance classes they can usually tell you what you need, what the school requires and allows both for lessons and what kind of tights or shoes you are to wear for recital. I highly recommend this store to anyone!

Indian Hills golf course is a nice 9 hole golf course that is very inexpensive to play. I have played on this golf course many times. It only costs around 10 dollars to play a round. You also do not need to rent a cart because it is very easy to walk. If you are ever bored, you should go to Indian Hills golf course and play a round.

Denny's helped with a warranty problem with a set of wheels and got the manufacturer to replace a defective set of factory wheels with an upgrade. Very helpful knowledgeable staff, who are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get what you paid for. I would recommend Denny's 10 times out of 10.
Pros: They stand by the products they sell

In choosing to buy bikes and a treadmill here, we found the staff to be very nice and very helpful, making suggestions based on knowledge and allowing us to test ride the bikes for fit and comfort. Come to think of it, my bike needs some maintenance before riding season really takes hold...hmmm

For those of you who live out in the beautiful town of Okemos and are looking for a decent local club you’ve come to the right place. This club has a pretty good facility and the price is right. You have a good staff of trainers and other support staff. The location is great since you don’t have to drive all the way to East Lansing to go get a workout.

Great place to get the fishing report for the whole state. Don't have the reel and rod selection they use to before moving. But can still order anything that you might want. Good selection of hooks and fly tying supplies and equiptment. Waders, Vests, Nets you name it. Also have a good selection of tied flies.
