Well being from Seattle where Asian restaurants line the streets I recognize a good Thai restaurant when I see one. In a state full of chain restaurants and dirty Chinese buffets this restaurant really stands out. My wife and I went there, enjoyed some of the best Thai food we have ever eaten (were the only people in the restaurant) and went home satisfied. Please Utah folk, skip the Olive Garden or the Panda Express and try some authentic Thai food so that another great restaurant does not fail!! If you have more questions about how amazing the food is just call me. 801-621-2874
Pros: A gem amongst the rocks!
Cons: None, hey we live in Utah cant be picky!!

This restaurant has great atmosphere and food! The service is top notch (especially if you get Katia) and the place is ALWAYS clean! The only thing I do not care for is the eggroll, but my husband is happy to take care of that for me (and I get his shrimp in trade!)

This is my favorite restaurant in Ogden. It is a small Japanese grill, where they cook on the table right before your eyes. The flavors really pop, and you will eat a lot. They have a Sushi bar and some great items. For instance, there is steak, shrimp, and scallops. The tables sit about 8-12 so its a good atmoshphere. The cooks will preform tricks and even light the entire stove on fire. Be aware though, it is quite pricy. Enjoy the scenery and stop by the gist shop on your way out.
Pros: Terrific meal, Fun and entertaining, well kept restaurant
Cons: expensive

I travel a bunch for my job. When I travel I make it a point to sample the best sushi I can find in each of the cities I visit (while it is on the companies dime of course).
My wife and I recently moved from another part of Utah and were craving Sushi tonight but didn't know where to go. We were afraid that there wouldn't be a place to get good Sushi outside of the salt lake valley. Well I can say that we both agree that the food we got tonight from Windy's Sukiyaki was the best we have had, not just in Utah but anywhere I've been. We loved the food and the restaraunt seemed to have a great feel to it. We got our food takeout but I look forward to taking my wife there on a date night.
Pros: food, variety, PRICE
Cons: none

When you're in Tona, you almost need to walk outside and look around to believe you're really in Ogden. The atmosphere, service, and - most importantly - food are all extraordinary. Maybe if more people would eat at Tona they'd forget about the ridiculous gondola. Tona is the real tourist attraction. Order the blizzard, a caterpillar, as much hamachi as you can eat, some very nice sake, and enjoy the ride.
Pros: Everything ... really
Cons: Closed Sunday

My parents still live in Utah - and eat here one a week. I'm 26 now and my family has been going there since I was about 5 years old! I have NEVER had anything but the best food and service. We have become good friends with the Lee's who both own/and work at the restaurant.
I really look forward to having dinner there whenever we are in Utah!

Up front I have to state that I can't imagine others enjoying this place as much as those of us that either A) grew up on this place or B) were forced (ie. marriage, parents, small firearms) into eating here regularly.
I know the place is kind of a hole, the waitress outfits are clearly 1950's design fashion, the service is so-so, the cheerfulness of the staff is dismal and the price is way too high. But for all the negative. . . let me say that this place is a staple establishment in Ogden.
I've going for over 30 years. My mother, who moved out of State nearly 20 years ago still craves Uncle Leo's #1 combo and wants to go each time she visits. And while the bad things do exist and are substantial enough to drive me away from other eateries, this place sends me to the freakin' moon. From the guy in the hallway door that is mashing the shrimp, to Uncle Leo hanging out in a wife beater in the kitchen, to the massive breading around a teeny-tiny shrimp to the neon glowing signage on Washington Blvd. This place is absolutely iconic. I realize this review will likely drive more people away than entice, but for those few of you out there that are looking for a "unique, unlike the other guy" spot, this is it. Enjoy!
Pros: The memories. . . shrimp. . . #1 Combo!!!
Cons: Price, days/hours of operation
