Buckingham Hotel is a nice hotel, small and not-too-fancy. It isnt a big high rise, but more of a large house turned into a hotel. Each room is a nice size, but dont expect fancy furnishings and linens. They do have air conditioning, TVs, and an ice machine in the hall. The prices are pretty good, and it isnt too far a walk to the beach and other attractions. This is a perfect place to stay with friends, but for a family you might want something a little more comfortable and close to the sand.

A lot of the hotels in OC are large and crowded, with lots of kids and teenagers running around. If you're looking for something more relaxing, the Lighthouse is the place to go. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, some with great views of the bay. You're well off the highway, so it's fairly quiet (though Fager's Island is next door and can be loud). Continental breakfast in the morning, well stocked fridge and bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs. Great for a romantic getaway, even off season! Expensive, but wonderful, I can't wait to go back!

We went to Ocean City this week and stayed at the Best Western, Sea Bay Inn. It is off of 62nd Street. Very clean and nice. It had all the comforts of home. We had two double beds, a small sofa, a table and two chairs, ironing board, hair dryer ( I took mine with me because I didn't know they would have one), A beaurea for our clothes, tv, and a coffee maker. I probably forgot some of the other things it had but I want to tell you about the coffee maker. I woke up early one morning and didn't have anything to do for a while so I decided to make a pot of coffee. I don't normaly drink coffee other than instant.
I have never done this before. My husband was going to help me. We put the coffee pod in where the pack said to put it but we did not know where to put the water. My husband came up with puting it in the back. We plugged it in and waited but nothing happened. I thought maybe it was the plug, so I moved it to another recepticle. My husband said maybe the water went in where the coffee was so he poured some in and it ran out. He had asked me about the lid but I told him you can't put the lid on the little pot or the coffee would not be able to go into the pot. It did not work so he went away. I fiddled with the button and the light came on( it had not been on before). I waited some more for the coffee to get made. Every now and then a drop or two would go down into the pot. I looked at the lid and noticed the holes in it. I said well I'll just stick this on an try it. All of a sudden the coffee went down in the pot where it belonged.
When I told my daughter about this she told me I had to stay away from her coffee maker.
I would recommend this hotel as it was reasonably priced ( $66.00 a night), very well located, nice parking lot, and it had everything that we needed to have a wonderful time at the ocean.

This hotel looks drop dead gorgeous online and in person it is tired, damp, and dated. It seriously needs some paint and some drying out. There was mold everywhere in the lobby area and it smelled dank and musty.
The children's playground bordered on dangerous.

The Bedtime Inn is not located at the heart of Ocean City. You will have to drive a little over a mile to get there. It is really a no frills place and not the most welcoming or comfortable place to stay. They do have a pool and offer cheap rates. If you dont have much to spend and dont mind driving a lot, you could stay here. I was not impressed and would not recommend.

The actual facility and location is beautiful. We stayed in a corner suite. Very large. Clean. Modern. Here's the bad news...The management/owner was horrendous. We had 4 people in the room and one day we invited a couple friends up to show our room and view to them. We had just stepped into the room when the owner came into our room un-announced (yes entered our room, with no knock or announcement, which I believe is illegal) and started screaming at all of us to get out....Now when I say screaming, I mean at the top of her lungs. She was irrational and rude. She then followed us arround for the rest of the weekend, occassionally screaming at us. We are not kids, I am 36 and are respectful of other guests. She actually locked us out of our room and locked all of our belongings in. All the while, I was speaking rationally and calmly to her. Her behaviour was so outrageous that her employees were apologizing to us, unbeknownst to her. Again, beautiful facility but be prepared to be mistreated by "big brother" or in this case "big sister"
Pros: bad ownership
Cons: the ocean...which has nothing to do with the manag

not bad if you've been fishing before, get an idea for the motion, but If you want to really go fishing in the Atlantic Ocean and want to come home with hundreds of pounds of tuna, don't bother with this type of boat. you will need to charter a boat and get the real attention you deserve...guess the old saying is true...you get what you pay for
