Dumser's is similar to Friendly's, but with a more original menu and OC feel. Lunch/dinner items include standard burgers and sandwiches, as well as a few seafood items--can't leave those out in OC. Dessert is what Dumser's is famous for--large ice cream sundaes, and original concoctions that are very reasonably priced. I recommend stopping in for lunch or an afternoon snack.

I do not go to Ocean City without stopping in a Candy Kitchen. The fudge is delicious, and for as long as I can rememeber, they've had the "red star" promo where you win a pound of a free fudge if you find a red star on your receipt--and it's not a scam, I did win it once! Some Candy Kitchens also have the "make your own sundae" bar which has TONS of toppings and ice cream flavors. Some stores also over large milk chocolate dipped strawberries that are delicious. Usually crowded, especially along the boardwalk, but worth the wait!

This year while visiting Ocean City, we tried Cold Stone Creamery for the first time. The shop is small with really no where to eat inside, there were a few chairs and a table against the wall. Once you order your ice cream and toppings, they put it all together on the table and mix it up before putting it in your bowl or cone. They were a bit pricey but the ice cream was really good. I thought it was amusing that every time someone tipped them, they all had to sing. The staff was friendly and energetic.

I was on Vacation at Ocean City and came across Candy Kitchen. I passed it like three or four times and saw that it was so colorful and inviting that I had to enter the fifth time! I was greeted with so many wonderful, delightful and unique candies. They have everything you could possibly imagine. Being a candy addict, I grabbed a couple of fudge's and a white chocolate candy bar studded with almonds. The prices are ok. This shop is great to take the kids to. We dont have it near our place so I'll definitely go there again if I go to Virginia Beach or Ocean City!
