Does anybody know the hours of operation yet?? The past couple of weeks I have been going in the evening and I always seem to miss them (being open). Is there a specific time they are open until the summer or are they not even open yet? Please someone tell me...I have to eat their fries asap! Thanks.
Pros: Love the fries.
Cons: Not so much the prices.

I've been going on vacation to Ocean City, Maryland for 40 years, and I can say with confidence that these are known far and wide as the best french fries around. ALL they sell at their stand is french fries, because that's all they need to do. I like them doused in the vinegar they have there for you, with salt. The place is fast, too - they are on the boardwalk, and ALWAYS have a long line, but the crew inside work very fast, and the line moves quickly. It's a family tradition, every year when we head to the OC Boardwalk, the first place we go is Thrasher's, for our french fry fix! The prices are good, from 2 to 6 dollars, depending on the size. However, these are real fries cut from potatoes, with no fillers, and so they can fill you up fast!

I've been eating Thrasher's fries since the 70's... when it was just a small stainless steel "room", with about a dozen fryers and as many fry-boys cranking out the fries...from what I remember, they were always working the fryers, never looked up, pumpin' 'em out...
There didn't even used to been a Thrasher's sign, you would just follow your nose, then you could see the steam wafting out over the boardwalk, then you would notice that the sea of peole walking down the boardwalk had stopped, and you were standing in a very long line...with the people that knew...which ended waaaayyyyy up at the stainless steel "room" with the "no ketchup" sign, and the salt and vinegar tray.
I just got back from O.C. about 2 hours ago from the Memorial Day holiday, and found a second Thrasher's--just as good, but no line! I don't have the address, but I'd parked on 3rd and started walking south on the boardwalk-towards the rides--and stumbled upon it..very cool!
The Ocean City "triple play" in my book is : crabs (Crabs2Go is great, but many are good), Fractured Prune donuts--hot! fresh dipped!awesome! (127th street is one of two locations), and Thrasher's fries--now two locations--yippeee! Enjoy people...
Pros: Best fries, worth the trip!
Cons: A tray instead of a cup would help distribute vinegar more evenly

Best fries Ihave ever had. The lines can be long, but it moves very quickly. My family gets a large bucket everyday. We only once a year for a week but we look forward for them.

I grew up on Thrashers French Fries, every summer my family and I would get our fill of these awesome fries. I love the sign that reads "NO KETCHUP". If you ever visit Ocean City, Maryland definitely give these fries a try, you won't be disappointed. I currently live in Hawaii and every time I am home for a visit, I take a road trip just to get some Thrashers, well worth the 3 hour drive to the beach!!!
Pros: Great Fries, great beach and boardwalk feel.
Cons: Long line but moves fast.

I heard about Thrasher's from a tv special so I had to try them.
I was a bit disappointed that the only topping choices were salt and viniger, but upon tasting them I soon realized that those were all you need. They are cooked just right and my fiance and I easily polished off a medium size order.
I can't wait to get more next time I return!
Pros: Tastes great, on boardwalk

My family and I get Thrasher's fries everytime we go to the shore...which is quite often sometimes. Sometimes we go just for the day or for a few days, either way there are many Thrasher stops while we are there. They are the type of fries you can't get enough of, and there are NO other like them.
Pros: Large sizes, vinegar and salt!, fast service
Cons: , not open all yr round
