If you haven't been to Big Ed's, you haven't had pizza in East Tennessee. It's easily worth the drive from Knoxville. I'm not sure what it is about this pizza that makes it so delicious. We're boring and always get plain cheese and it's the best pizza! Everything tastes so fresh and nothing seems to have come from a can. I love the family atmosphere, too. It makes you feel like you are almost family. I agree, that if you go on a weekend, go early. The wait can get pretty long. But it's worth it!

Big Ed's is an Icon. This is the best pizza that you will find in the area. Yes, it look like a hole in the wall, and you are just as likely to find a roach on the floor as you are a straw. And yes, I am frightened to go downstairs to the bathroom by myself, but I would go everyday of the week there to eat if I could afford it. Tell them that it is your birthday and you will more than likely get a free t-shirt out of the visit. I'll warn you to go to an early dinner there, because if you don't you will be waiting in line a long time- usually outside.

Pizza is one of America's favorite food. If you are looking for a place to get the best pizzas since it was invented in Italy, be sure to go to Big Ed's. Located perfectly in Oak Ridge, it has a very nice location and plenty of free breadsticks while you wait for your pizza. The pizza is only made with the finest ingredients. You're gonna love what you taste.

If you’re looking in pizza in Oak Ridge, you owe it to yourself to eat at Big Ed’s. After all, it’s a tradition in the town! The restaurant is a fairly dimly lit small place that’s often smoky but the pizza is divine. All the dough is made fresh daily and your pizza will come to you piping hot and fresh. There’s no such thing as a non-custom order at Big Ed’s and that is half the fun of it. Often times you’ll see little league teams celebration a victory there or book clubs stopping off for lunch but rest assured, it’s the best pizza in town. It's also worth mentioning that they are major sponsors of youth activities so when you support Big Ed's you support all sorts of programs for the youth in Oak Ridge.
