This is a very cool little shop loaded with toys, gift and gag items. Some of their stuff will take you back to your childhood, because it's now considered retro. Most of the prices are decent, but some items were overpriced. I was happy to bring home a few items and will hopefully go back and spend more time and money there. They have re-makes of toys from the 60's & 70's. a great place to buy gifts for a loved one who's really into those decades. Their window display is so eye catching and clever also.

Run by the same folks that brought you Scratch ‘n’ Sniff nearby, Pumpkin Moon is one of those wonderful unique toy and gift stores that I love to check out on a regular basis. It is definitely a pop-culture driven store, with a great selection of T-shirts and Bobblehead figures to look through. The front of the store is lined with baskets filled with cheap but unique plastic trinkets that you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, as well as lots of novelty items such as magnets and toys—basically a hodgepodge of knick-knacks and goodies kids would love. The back of the store is filled with unique greeting cards and more “grown-up” gift stuff like stationery or keychains. For those who like collectibles (especially old-school toy robots and wind-ups) this is definitely a place to visit. Overall, if you’re looking for a wacky gift or greeting card for an immature adult in your life, this is the first stop in Oak Park.

This place is such a delight. I literally feel like they went back into my personal childhood just to fill the place with all my favorite things. The day before I went here I just received a brand new Gold card. Any guesses where my first stop would be? I'm sure American Express lit up when they saw a grown woman with so many charges from a toy store. I grew up watching Bozo and I just had to buy the giant inflatable one in the window, that along with 3 Stooges items, a "battling Bush" punching bug (oh, yeah, I had some fun with that one) and a few other things that I definitely did not need, but just had to have. Go and have a blast at Pumpkin Moon!

This place offers the best selection in collectibles and old times antiques for any generation. This store carries a wide variety of novelty toys, games and merchandise from the 30's, 40's, 50's and so on, until the present. Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe and Superman are just a few examples of the themed merchandise that you can find in this store. They carry many of the nostalgic pieces that made everyone create memories of their childhoods. Steppinginto this store is like stepping through a time warp. Visit here for only an hour and you will transform back into that 12 year old who used to love collecting baseball cards or Archie comic books. A great time to be had and the prices are always reasonable!

If you're looking for a toy from your childhood, Pumpkin Moon is the place to go! You'll get lost in this store, with it's retro "tin" mechanical toys, tops, and all sorts of other treasures! Their prices are moderate, especially if you consider the "gotta-have-it" factor. I'm sure they could charge much more for the memories of childhoods past. You might want to leave the kiddies at home, though. You'll want to browse through your memories without having someone tugging on your leg, asking for a "gotta-have-it" toy for his or her own new memories!
