This place is amazing! The food is beyond wonderful, the service is amazing, and it's simply like nothing I've ever eaten! It's considered Mexican, but it is not your typical Mexican restaurant. To quote the owner/chef (who is the cutest man I've ever seen!) OH MY GOD! It's just wonderful and you have to experience it to truly grasp the greatness!
Pros: Service, food, atmosphere
Cons: There really aren't any!

new rebozo was very disappointing - very pricey margaritas.........my friend and I payed almost $25 for each margarita - we had two each!!!!!!!!!! We had an order of guacamole - which was bland, I had the tacos and she had the shrimp fajitas. Our bill was $136.00. We expected to pay more for our drinks cause we wanted better tequila, however we were not told we would be paying $8.95 original price plus $13 for the upgrade. We were shocked!!!! The atmosphere is pleasant and Pablo was pleasant until I compained about the price, he told me down the street their prices were higher. The atmosphere does not warrant a come back.
Pros: Very clean and festive
Cons: Presentation of food is excellent, however quality is not there - very bland

This family run Mexican restaurant has been a favorite of my friends and many Oak Park and River Forest families for years. The lively atmosphere - including the owner, Paco, who is VERY lively, coming to every table to present the OH MY GOD specials - makes for a fun dinner experience every time. The margaritas are wonderful and strong, so be careful! The service here is great with friendly servers and speedy food runners. Most importantly, the food is authentic and delicious. Paco has 12 kinds of moles he rotates to put on the Fiesta Mole enchilada special including almond, macadamia nut, pipian verde and peanut. The mango tamales stuffed with goat cheese are AMAZING appetizers and some of my other favorites include Mar Y Tierra (surf and turf in a spicy sauce), Polpo de Ajo, chile rellenos and SO many more! The specials are always good, so give them a try!

The line for dinner on a Saturday night was loooooooooong (reservations would have been a good idea) but totally worth it. The food was marvelous, the margaritas were potent and the staff was phenomenal. Also, the chef of the restaurant came out to talk to us about the menu and it is worth going to the restaurant just to hear him talk (he's adorable!). It was a great time.

I went this evening for the first time with dining companions who adore good food, and just happen to be very Latin. Paco, the chef, has a motto for the restaurant, which is "Oh my God!? He's right, and indeed, Se?or. We ordered a seafood ceviche for starters (fresh, with baby shrimp and a modest kick), and it's served in a round of pineapple. Elegant touch, I thought, and creative. The guacamole couldn't possibly be better, or fresher.
For dinner, most of us tried the enchilada special. It consists of four enchiladas made with 6 outstanding, clever moles mentioned by another reviewer here (pistachio, macadamia, etc.). We had them stuffed with chorizo, beef, chicken and white cheese. Perfect combo of sweet, salty, smooth - all very luscious. Paco knows what he's doing, and I would say he is a genius. I've never had a more outstanding enchilada combo anywhere. Another person tried the poblano special, which was to die for. Everything about this food is genuine, beautiful and decadent. I am going to crave their food, and every other Mexican restaurant is going to seem like a run-down factory since I tried New Rebozo. The menu looks intriguing, too, and also covers all the bases - delivering traditional entrees with a creative twist. For dessert, Paco brought us his homemade chocolate ice cream, which had a jalapeno kick. Oh my God - that was brilliant! Sweet and smooth chocolate ice cream with a kick? It sounds challenging for a novice, for sure, but it's my new favorite flavor! How did he do that? Service is friendly, professional, courteous and efficient.
We also had a pitcher of lime margaritas (mmmmm!). They went down like cool limeade. Sweet perfection in a salted glass. It's kid friendly here, casual, romantic, clean and friendly. Paco talks to all the diners, and he kissed us goodnight. I feel like he's going to be our new best friend.
Pros: Paco is a loveable genius, and is second to none.
Cons: None. Period.

What a restaurant! I have two tests for Mexican cuisine a taco and a mole sauce. The New Rebozo passes both my tests with an A+. Did I say mole sauce? Try 12 different moles! Each uniquely delicious. On any given day Paco, the owner, may have 6 of them. Oh My God! Yesterday they were cashew, pumpkin seed, macadamia nut, chocolate, almond, and I cant remember but they were all great.
This is far and away the best Mexican restaurant in the area. You will be treated like family and Paco takes real pride in his dishes. Be sure and try the specials and youll know why I say OH MY GOD!
Pros: Great Food, Welcoming, Good Sevice
Cons: No Parking, Small
