Cafe le Coq is wonderful. The setting is charming and the food is delicious. The filet of sole is a must. Reasonably priced for a great dining experience.

We didn't eat a full meal but the crab cake starter was excellent and well matched by a half bottle of Saint Veran. The waiter at the bar was chatty and friendly and we enjoyed reminiscing looking over the books about Paris at the bar. Decor is stylish. Bit peculiar that the owner makes his money in Irish stores but has a passion for France.
Pros: Decor, no crowds
Cons: Limited wine list

This place has a very cool interior with a tiled floor and decorative ceiling. The tables are set very nice with appropriate lighting. The food was average. We had a ravioli dish for the appetizer that was fenomenal. The main entree was the pork chop, and it was dry, tasteless, and pink. I also tried the chicken breat which was good. The desert we ordered were prafiteroles and they came out stale. The waiter was a bit too obnoxious for me. Overall average food but not worth the price.
Pros: space, downtown Oak Park
Cons: waiter, average food

Cafe Le Coq had both wonderful food and presentation. Every bite was flavorful from the soup to dessert. A very satisfying meal.
