On every visit to Papspiros I have been very pleased with the quality of the food and the 'Greek island' atmosphere. The food is extremely authentic and at any given time you may be greeted by the owner, his wife or a family member- adding to the authentic atmosphere. If you never have had saganaki (flaming Greek cheese) this is a must try- just for the umpah you get when the waiter serves it. The prices are moderate, expect to pay $10-15 an entrée. Valet is available for $4, in case you can't find decent street parking.

I love Greek food and I love trying out new places. I was very happily surprised by this place. It had an "outdoors" feel to its decor that made it a very charming place to eat. You also got hit with wonderful aromas as soon as you walk in the door.
It has a massive menu, and is known for doing fantastic lamb. My husband loved their quail appetizer.
Their Tzatziki was wonderful.
They have a very impressive menu, with family style options if you would like.
Though I didn't get a chance to see it, there is supposedly a really nice bar downstairs.

PapaSpiros Greek Taverna is draped in blue and white and serves authentic Greek cuisine. Its Mousakas, both the traditional and vegetarian versions, are excellent!!! If you are not sure what to try, check out its combination plate (comes with Mousakas, Spanakopita, etc.). In addition, its servers are funny and attentive. You just cannot go wrong with this Greek restaurant.
