I went through several years of feeling horrible all the time, and visited countless doctors who did not take me seriously, before I found Dr. Manus. It turns out my problem was real and easily treatable, and I am so thankful that Dr. Manus did not simply dismiss my symptoms as so many other doctors had. Since then, I have seen her several times over the last few years, both to continue monitoring my condition and for other minor illnesses that crop up. I respect her responsible prescribing of antibiotics and other medications -- she insists on making sure they are really necessary, and doesn't hand them out like candy as other doctors do. She is also very conscientious about referring her patients to excellent specialists if needed.

Though I sometimes wait a L o n g time to see the doctor after arriving on time for scheduled appointments, she takes her time with me, and I appreciate that. She has always responded to my phone calls. She is gentle and funny at times. The nurses at LSFP are great too. I have never had a problem getting an emergency appointment of meds refilled. 5 stars!

These are some of the best doctors I have ever taken my family to see. They listen to you when you tell them what is wrong and ask questions as if they actually care. I send all my friends to Marian Sassetti and they love her as well. If she is not there, the other doctors in the practice are also wonderful to work with. She is very kind and caring with her patients. If she sends you to a specialist, it is 99% of the time someone she has trust in as well. Clearly the best doctor I have ever used.

Dr. Marian Sassetti is the most welcoming and caring physician I have encountered over the years. To complement her skills, the Lake Street Family Physicians is located in the heart of OP where I can easily hop on the El or Metra from downtown for a doctor's appointment during the day. As for the receptionists, my encounters have been rather pleasant, although they can be a little disorganized (e.g. booking you for the wrong time).

I only have experience with Dr. Marian Sassetti at this office, but that is certainly enough to earn my praises. Dr. Sassetti is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She is intelligent, compassionate and very pro-active. Don't get me wrong- she is certainly not perfect, but in thsi day and age a doctor who cares as much as she does and actually listens and makes intelligent common-sense decisions can be a rarity. If you have been disappointed with dismissive or slack treatment by doctors she is certainly worth a try. My only complaint is that some of the individuals working the front an seem flaky at best and flippant or rude at worst. Don't take it personally and don't take it as a sign of the treatment you will get from the doctors.
