Oak Park is full of Frank Lloyd Wright houses and even has his studio which is certainly worth a visit.
The cool thing about the Temple is that you can visit it by attending a worship service, or just come to see the building if you prefer. It is worth coming when it is actually in use.
This building is surprising. The last time I was in here, a friend was getting married and had his wedding here.
There are balconies surrounding the main space and we went in and climbed up to a balcony. I was impressed with how intimate the space really is.
You really have to see it!

Logo's is more of a Christian-type bookstore, so you will be able to find a lot of religious books and gift items here. But that's not all they carry; they do have some mainstream titles, but not as many as you would find in other bookstores. One thing I really like about Logo's is that they carry titles from local authors, which is great.

St. Giles is an excellent Catholic church. I have been going there for years, and I have learned a lot. I find that the priests deliver thoughtful and inspiring sermons that have practical applications in my life. I also like the fact that St. Giles has a Saturday evening Mass, which frees up Sunday mornings if I have guests or whatever.

Oak Park has a very good youth baseball program. That's why their high school teams consistently do very well in the state tournaments (OPRF High School Girls' Softball team are '05 State Champs). You can find a baseball or softball team to fit your child's age group and skill level. They have standard Little League rules in place, so your child is guaranteed a certain amount of playing time in each game. I played in the softball leagues for more than 10 years. I had a lot of fun and learned important lessons about teamwork and competition.

I think this is one of the best libraries I have been to. The staff is really nice and courteous. They even have the latest DVD's availaible for rent. They used to charge a buck for them, but lately they have removed that charge also. The ambiance is really nice and they even have free computers and wireless internet. Check it out at oak park avenue and lake. :-)

More
This church is the only surviving public building from the famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie period and it's available for viewing during non-church service hours. Although there are many of Wright's houses in the area, and most people are familiar with his style, this is an application of architectural detail that not many people get to see. It's a very peaceful place, with a knowledgable staff and a small gift shop when you enter, with brochures, postcards, and some surprisingly interesting gifts (although few in number). If you are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, this is definitely worth exploring.
