I think this is one of the most amazing clothing stores in the bay area. The product is exceptional & so high quality. You can find the most unique items and feel confident that you are truly getting something special and individual. The owner clearly takes pride in her work and her boutique. The customer services is wonderful and the overall experience is amazing. I wish there were more boutiques like this. It makes shopping a pleasure!

I just wanted to write to say how much I enjoyed being well treated at CHIC. I came into Chic looking for a lively " all around " Special occasion. I was told that their new collection was fantastic. Fantastic it was. I purchased a one of the kind French designer and paid much less than I expected. I don't have a million bucks to spend but I received a great service as if I had. Merchandise and service great, great. I recommend Chic to anyone. Pros: Ambience, as if you are in italy Cons: None

If you have style and taste even the finest stores in SF disappoint. The inventories Saks, Neimans and Bloomies have are supremely inferior to that of their NY stores. This is especially true if your looking for formal wear. So when my friends told me about a little European style boutique in Oakland i was skeptical. Well, first i was skeptical, then i was FLOORED. The owner at Chic personally raids New York and imports only the very CHICEST of Europe, Japan and New York. The selection is flawless. The designers to die for. The fashion consultant services are above and beyond. I swear the owner is telepathic. I just call and before im finished telling her what i want she already has it waiting for me. Up till now shopping in the Bay Area has been so bad i'd start shopping months in advance and panic if something came up last minute. Now i have a one stop shop for fabulousness. Dress! Shoes! Purse! Lights! Camera! Fabulous! Whether you're a seasoned fashionista and you LOVE and I mean LOVE clothes, or your just someone who wants to look good for a wedding (oh my god they even have Bridal services) and maybe needs some handholding. Chic clients even include actresses shopping for the Emmys. My friends drive in from San Jose and SF to shop here and they always GLOW in Chic's clothing. I can't explain it but the clothes here just make you really happy and radiant. You know that feeling when you have on an outfit and you just can't stop posing in front of the mirror? That eureka moment when your search is over? Love at first sight and a light headed rush of happy just tingles all over your body. The service is AMAZING i mean really. Rather than do that just looking avoiding eye contact thing we all do, TALK to the owner; she'll find it or special order it, or conjure it up out of thin air. They have cutting edge men's wear very chic, very masculine, your guy well look absolutely yummy in it. Go and see for yourself. You'll thank me. Pros: Yippee! Finally my shopping hell is heaven! I was told that their new collection was fantastic. Fantastic it was. I don't have a million bucks to spend, but I received a great service as if I had. I am from Boston and I have found shopping for dresses in Bay area rather limited .I was invited out for dinner one night in College Ave,Oakland/Berkeley way, when I noticed the window of this fabulous boutique. It looked like a shop right out of a posh street in Paris. I just had to see inside this shop, and it was obviously closed at that time of night. It was three weeks later that I found the time to visit and I was stunned by its range of clothes and the professionalism of their staff. The balance between lifestyle and fashion that this boutique offers is impressive. I was able to find a number of pieces that accommodate my active life and still look and feel classy without being loud. I recommend this shop to all. It must be one of the biggest secrets in the bay area. I am a regular customer now. It?s a must. That?s all I can say. Pros: Fantastic range and fabilous range Cons: spending all your savings

European CHIC! I'm NOT a Macy's girl I want beautiful well made clothes that are well made and well styled with elegant touches but can't find anything like the clothes I used to buy when I lived in Paris. The owner hand picks the loveliest, choicest European clothes. The clothes here are amazing! I?ve never been stopped to ask what I was wearing more in my life! They also have wedding dresses! I?m getting married this year and have just ordered the most divine dress in the world. So much better than what they had anywhere else and they were able to help me find the perfect accessories. I cannot recommend this place enough! My little sister wanted a dress that no one else had so I took her there and we bought her prom dress that floored the room. She was the envy of all her friends, they hated her. Another problem I have is shoes. No matter how pretty you are, if your wearing the latest torture cobblery form Manola Blahnik you?ll look more like Quasimodo than Kate Blanchet. Their evening shoes are comfortable for HOURS (but don?t tell my fiance i still pretend that they hurt so he?ll carry me to the car (tee hee.) I just bought a FANTABULOUS pair after seeing them a few of my friends have gone and bought some too and keep thanking me. Fabulous service, knowledgeable and helpful and not obnoxious about the ?can I help you? in your face nonsense. And they really can help. They know how to dress my body and I have a some places I?d like to de-accentuate and others I?d like to play up and they really do get that. For clothes that you can?t find anywhere else you have to go to Chic. When my European friends see my clothes they assume that they are Parisian or Italian. I just can?t shut up about the place I really can?t. I heard about them through word of mouth and have started spreading the shopping gospel myself because as consumers we need to encourage quality and style or we?ll be left with the softer side of Sears. IN OTHER WORDS: I LOVE THIS STORE! Pros: selection, service, style Cons: there should be I live in San Jose and have to drive up but it's worth it
