Michael repaired my wedding band for me with great skill and at a very fair price. Their jewelry selection is absolutely gorgeous and impressive, and initially somewhat surprising considering the unassuming store front. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They even let me try on a few rings that I was drooling over so now I have a wish list to give to my husband... My ring now looks great and everyone there was so sweet, I had to write to let people know and say thank you! This is the real deal; not a factory filled with lots of stuff and pushy salespeople.
Pros: true craftsmen, friendly, helpful

I love this store. My fiance had my engagement ring made there, and it is so unique, so beautifully made, and I get compliments on it SO often. The owner, Jeff, made me feel confident every time I consulted with him when I went back to design my wedding ring. I consulted MANY times, and everyone was incredibly patient with me, even though my wedding ring was not so extravagant and not such huge business for them. I price compared with Pave and another jeweler on college, and they were three times and twice as much as Sahadi for the exact same order, respectively. They have also fixed jewelry for me, and once told me when something I asked to be repaired was beyond repair, so as not to charge me for something they couldn't make right. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and encourage you to see for yourself, and disregard negative reviews on this site. Sahadi is the best jewelry gig in town, hands down.
Pros: excellent service, talented designers, reasonable prices
Cons: none

They have the best design for any jewelry. When I entered the store I knew it will be a great place. I wanted a neckless with diamonds with a design i wanted. The owner walked my through all the steps and got the final product I wanted. They seemed very professional on what they do. The final product was a really good quality and excactly how i wanted. Might go there for a wedding ring.

I've been a Folks Art junkie for years, and they just keep getting better. Be sure to check out their annual summer sale, starting in June. Hundreds of items are drastically reduced in price and new stuff comes in every day for weeks. I just bought a huge turquoise cabochon set in silver as well as a finely carved Ganesh figure (fossilized walrus tusk) in silver, each 50% off. Such a deal!

Looking for that extra special pair of earrings, but don’t feel like waiting for a crafts show? Just go to Pot-pourri, in teeny Lincoln Square Shopping Center in the East Oakland Hills. Pot-pourri specializes in one-of-a-kind ceramics and glassware, as well as jewelry. Kind of hard to find, but worth the trip. Their inventory is first-rate and if you catch a sale, you won’t be sorry.

This place is expensive! They do have a goold selwction of most painting and random craft supplies, but I was disappointed with their lack of ceramics supplies. They did have clay and a few standard tools, but I guess that's what specialty stores are for. They do have all kinds of oragami paper and other random stuff, plus canvas' and stretching supplies.

This store has the cutsey girl thing going on for the 20-something and under crowd. I browsed around for a minute and decided that I was definitely the wrong demographic for this store unless i was looking for a gift. They has some really cute retro shoes...

This large store is unique in selling an eclectic collection of crafts and artwork. It's filled from floor to ceiling (including the mezzanine) with an amazing number of beautiful works. It may be (just a feeling) an outlet for weekend artisans. Great place to find something different for a wedding gift or for that difficult-to-buy-for person. Well worth making a trip to this out-of-the-way-place.

I have never found anything in this shop that I did not like, they carry very exquisite pieces at affordable prices. There are some items that are highly priced, but I just look at those. But the staff is wonderful with helping you find pieces in your price range.

Well after i had went to Spitz Jewelers and seen their expensive prices i wanted to find another place that would offer cheaper and more fair prices. So i stumbled upon this store and went inside. First of all the workers were really friendly and helpful. I told them i wanted a gold 18 karat ring with a ruby for my wife and they showed me a perfect one with a decent price. I was stoked to a get a ring for my wife at a decent price and she loved the ring when i showed it to her.
