This store, although it doesn't have as wide a selection of craft products, is much easier to navigate than Joann's. I've also found it better staffed with salespeople who are actually crafters and knowlegdeable about the merchandise. They also send flyers in the mail offering special 40% and 50% discounts. I believe this store still offers framing services, too. I had a baseball jersey mounted and framed here several years ago. They did a great job, although it was costly. PROS: More knowledgeable salespeople CONS: Not as wide a selection as Joann, no fabric.

Their prices are average but they frequently have 40-50% off coupons in their ads making the prices pretty darn good. I also love the smell of this store, its always smells so good here, especially around christmas time. I'll come here for all my crafting needs everytime.

Michaels offers classes and seminars for both kids and adults, allowing you to make really neat projects. The price isn't bad, comparable to most other crafting stores such as Hobby Lobby and Hobbytown USA.

I love coming to this store, especially when they run great sales along with 40-50% off coupons in the paper. My favorite time to come to this store is around Christmas time, because they get you in the holiday spirit (also with other holidays). Everything is decorated nicely and smells great! Customer service is nice in helping you find what your looking for. Lines are never super long, so your not just standing waiting in line. Great atmosphere.

No matter what day of the week or time of the day that you go into this particular Michaels you can always expect to have at least a 15 minute wait time to get checked out. I go to Michaels occasionally for my scrapbooking needs and I just can't stand to go in there anymore. Whether or not there's one person in line or twenty, there's only one checker for the entire store. So the line takes ages. As you go around the store, you can see there are plenty people working there, but none seem to work the front. Cashiers are very bland personality wise, can barely muster a Hello let alone tell you your total. In the future I'm going to drive further to go to Joanne's where I know Service is top notch.
