Not the greatest location and looks a little seedy from the outside, but once you get inside you are in a different world. If any Mexican food can be said to be haute cuisine, this is it. If Lorenzo the manager is there make sure to ask him for his recommendations. The usual stuff (burritos, tacos, etc.) are fine, but stick with the specialties here. The chile relleno de camaron is great. The chile colorado is great. The camarones borrachos are great. The queso fundido con chorizo is great. You get the idea. They have a salmon in cognac sauce that is not on the menu, but ask for it. It's....well you know how it is. Best margarita in town, too. If I could give it six stars I would. Pros: Food, service uniformly outstanding. Cons: Location a little inconvenient, especially for tourists, but truly worth the trip.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! The food, the staff, the service is by far some of the best in North Las Vegas. My husband and I eat out every meal and we have tried almost every hole in the wall to high end mexican restaurant in the Greater Las Vegas and we come back to Viva Zapatas at least twice a week sometimes more. Carnitas that are unlike any other you will eat, Delicious! Pork ribs are fall off the bone lip smackin good! If you are a Mole fan theirs is some of the best around! Save room for the Tres Leches or the Flan, it's a toss up as to which one is the best. Coming from Texas where Mexican is done right, Viva Zapatas definitely knows how to make awesome Mexican cuisine in Nevada. Pros: Wonderful management! Great staff! Cons: You eat too much! It could be a good thing!

The only place in Vegas we go for Mexican Food! Quaint atmosphere with generous portions of authentic, extremely delicious food. Chips are served with spicy salsa as well as beans to dip in, which pleases everyone in the family. Dinners also include soup. You can watch one of their staff making home made tortillas in the back of the restaurant, and live music also adds to the fun. Service is efficient and personal. Over all a great value for date night or a night out with the family!

My Credit Card number was stolen in N Las Vegas at a Mexican Restaurant called Viva Zapatas on E. Craig road. The credit card number has been used for "Itspaymybill" which is Western Union National Money Transfer, and now City of N Las Vegas Utility Company. The credit card has been shut down. I will be receiving a new card on Wednesday. The waiter had to take the card and write the number down along with the security number on the back. Pretty easy for identity theft now days! Cons: Credit card theft by server is not good. required new card.

The first time at Zapatas It was a real mexican food exerience! The waitors are very nice! And the food is great!!! I took my mom there for her birthday and they came out singing to her with a little drum and a guitar in spanish.. I loved it .. my mom loved it too she almost cried and then they gave a her a shot of tequilla and my mom doesnt drink but she said that was the best tequilla mix drink shes ever had!!.. They also have great churros!! The place is small.. but I think thats a plus its very intimate.. I would recomend Zapatas to anyone who love mexican food and great service!! PROS: The food the waitors the music!! CONS: They need a bigger variety of deserts..
