Very poor "customer service." If buying online, be very very sure that the item will fit and is *exactly* what you want and will look good on you. Why? Because Wilshire Wigs offers no refunds if you are not satisfied. I tried very politely to ask them for same and they offered store credit only - minus my mailing costs. How can I order another item online after discovering that the first item, which looked great on the model, doesn't look at all as pictured, is so uncomfortable you can't wear it for more than a minute, fits so poorly you can't cover the back of your head, and generally looks ridiculous. I would never recommend this store to a friend. (Note: it probably is a good idea to go into a store to get a wig fitted anyway. But because of the way I was treated with this online purchase, I would never give another penny of business to Wilshire Wigs. Would give minus five stars if I could, but have to give some kind of rating, so am forced to give an undeserved one star. Pros: None that I Know of Cons: No Returns - You Are Stuck with Mistakes

They do get extremely busy but i have patience and i am willing to wait for their services. They have a fabulous inventory and great selection which is why they ARE so busy. I went to Wilshire Wigs and Accessories today for the first time and was sadly disappointed. I don't know much about wigs being that I never wear them. I have very long hair but needed a wig for a photoshoot. The staff are not welcoming at all. I explained to them what I was looking for as well as my lack of knowledge on wigs. The only aid I received were fingers pointing in which direction I needed to go for certain wigs, no offer or attemp to assist, just minimal customer service. There were three employers working and only two customers including me, so the excuse of trying to accomodate all customers is not valid. I see another bad customer service review, so if these lazy Wig People don't get it together, they're going to lose lots of business...I have a big mouth and know every bald woman in Hollywood ;) Pros: Wide selection of Wigs...just know what you want w/out needed assistance Cons: Not welcoming & Lazy Customer Service

This is a great place to buy a wig, but leave yourself plenty of time--there's a lot to see. Hundreds and hundreds (thousands?) of wigs are on display here. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. They let you try on several wigs at a time (in a private try-on room), which is quite a change from most other wig stores. I needed help matching my hair color, and I found the sales associates to be really helpful. They found different style and color options for me as a starting point and let me go from there. The prices are really good--much cheaper than I was expecting. The only downside: the parking lot is a little small, but there is also street parking. Pros: Selection, service, prices Cons: Limited parking spaces

I went one other time to this place to get wigs for a costume and experienced the same poor level of service that I got the second time I went there. After the second time that I was treated rudely and spoken to sarcastically and condescendingly, I left without spending another cent in that store. The sales staff, as well as the manager, are beyond rude. The only advantage that they have is the good selection of wigs. The greatest shortcoming that they have is that they make you, the customer, feel as if you're supposed to kowtow to their bad attitudes. I initially thought that the treated me poorly because I was a person of color. Then I saw them treat other customers the same exact way, which makes me think, "Hey, at least they're consistently rude to everyone, not just me. Equal opportunity foulness." If you go, just know that you're going to have to really know what you want and be able to advocate for yourself because the salespeople there are going to treat you like you're an idiot. Frankly, there are enough wig and hairpiece stores in L.A. that you can easily go somewhere else, especially because the prices aren't much different than other stores. I say: pay the same money elsewhere but get treated with respect. Pros: Good selection Cons: All staff are disrespectful and impatient towards customers

This is the definitive place to go when you need not only wigs but custom work. Wilshire Wigs is THE biggest wig and hairgoods store around. If you can't find it there then it doesn't exist! They have a staggering array of wigs in countless styles. I work in the film industry (which they cater to a great deal,) and this is where we go for all our hair needs. From simple pre-made wigs to custom work. They can create dead on replica wigs to match the actors hair perfectly. And the lace work is phenominal - these guys are top of the line professionals and an invaluable tool for our industry. I would recommend them to the general public and professionals alike. They are super friendly and will do their very best to accomdate you. They also do offer other services such as adding hair to pieces, general repairs and re-sizing wigs. Their prices are the best - bar none. Check out this industry standard, (I promise you'll be blown away.)
