Today was the first time I went to try Urban Retreat Day Spa and it was amazing.
I read all this reviews and thought that I should give it a try.
The facility is clean and the staff is professional. I received the Urban Retreat Package - massage & facial. And it was very soothing and relaxing.
Since it was my birthday 2 days ago, they decorated one of the rooms with balloons. I thought that, that was really thoughtful!
Its a great place to relax and enjoy!

My husband and I "refound" The Eclectic a couple yrs ago and are pretty much hooked. The food is always tasty ,they really know how to poach an egg perfectly , and I would know this as we usually are there for Sun. champagne brunch. The staff is knowledgable, highly competent, friendly and attentive. We know most of them personally now and are treated like family. I also quite often have lunch with them , solo, during the week on my days off and am always comfortable with a glass of wine, a book and great food
Pros: consistently good food and THE WAIT STAFF

I Love my hair!!!!!!
When I go to a salon, I want to be treated like a star. We live in Los Angeles, the home of the stars and perhaps the most vain location on planet Earth!
Salons can be intimidating. You never know who you are going to run into while waiting for your foils to be removed.
A typical day at this Salon feels like a big party! Most people come in for an appointment and have trouble leaving. It?s that fun! The entire staff has a smile and you are almost always guaranteed to meet someone interesting. I always grab a cup of java while I'm waiting for my color to finish. If I had three hands, I'd give it three thumbs up!!!!
Pros: All certified hair stylists and colorists!

After having previous appliance repair experiences that were terrible, I was not looking forward to finding a company to work on my washing machine. But after discovering Paulโs Washer & Dryer Repair, I have renewed faith that knowledgeable, quality and honest repair people do still exist! Paulโs Washer & Dryer repair is a hands-on, personal service company.
Paulโs is not a huge company with a frustrating automated phone system. I spoke to Dave about a washer part than needed to be replaced. He took the time to discuss it with me and showed that he was completely familiar with the problem. David also recommended that I have my dryer cleaned out since Iโd never had that service performed before. He quoted me a very reasonable price over the phone and gave me an actual appointment time (unlike the big service contract companies that give you a window of four hours).
The morning of my scheduled appointment, I got a call from David saying that they would need to reschedule because the technician was behind schedule. I wasnโt thrilled about having to reschedule, but now that I know the company is completely hands-on and does all their own work, I can understand if things come up. David said that he would come out with his technician for the rescheduled appointment.
David and Oscar were timely, professional, clean and courteous. They removed and replaced the part on my washer and also checked out my dryer. David said that my dryer was very clean as it was, and therefore didnโt need further cleaning. He added that doing unnecessary work can sometimes bring about other issues. He could have easily gone through the motions of cleaning my dryer and charged me for it, but he didnโt. So I ended up paying less than what I had been quoted.
I highly recommend Paulโs Washer & Dryer Repair and only wish they serviced other appliances as well!

So, I don't know about the rest of you, but now that I'm 25, I'm beginning to be a bit "over" the whole Hollywood scene... at least all the effort that goes into it. I'm tired of getting all dressed up, standing in a super long "guest list" line in my stilettos, paying 20 bucks just to get in, and then hoping that the DJ doesn't stink... not to mention, if I want some jack and coke, I'll be lucky to leave with a 75 dollar bar tab... now at SKINNY'S, you get the whole lounge vibe and dance party of Hollywood with a more down-to-earth crowd, cheap drinks, hot bartenders, and a guaranteed amazing DJ! On top of all that, on Thursday nights, the DJ spins all 80s (for the most part), which I happen to be a huge fan of! Basically, the valley has needed an awesome club for decades now, and I think I've finally found it!!! I've been taking my girlfriends there every Thursday for months, because it's super fun and effortless! My hat goes off to Skinny's, thanks for bringing Hollywood to the valley and making it so much better <3
