The Secret Attic, although very near division is rather unfortunately located because it seems that they may truly still be a secret from most. However, from it’s spot less than a half a block off of main street, The Secret Attic manages to keep it’s head above water because of it’s collection of ‘collectibles’. I’m not sure I’d have much to say in order to separate it from the rest, but it’s a cute shop with a cozy interior.

This store has always struck me as a little strange; however, I’ve got to respect it for being unique. For those shopping for the more ‘mystical’ merchandise I suppose it is an excellent story to have in town because it is certainly the only store in town that carries what they do.

I love this store! There are many gift ideas for family and friends. I found the perfect painted glasses done by a local artist for my friends wedding. They also have very cute cards and put everything you buy in these cute bags with ribbons!! It was perfect because I didn't have to wrap my own gifts!

The people at Forget-Me-Not have yet to disappoint me. There used to be three flower shops in town and Forget-Me-Not has single-handedly done the others in. Their prices are reasonable and their arrangements are beautifully unique yet classic. Their actual shop is rather small and limited, but the merchandise is generally well chosen.

Paper Petalum seems to be marketing to an older crowd, I’d say middle-aged to retired women. Considering their clientele their merchandise is appropriately picked, very ‘cute’ and very reasonably priced. …and they are right next door to an ice cream shop, so if you don’t find anything while you’re there, you can just hop next door and indulge.

To be honest, it confuses me that Three Pines Gift Shop has stayed afloat as long as it has – mainly due to its location on Highway 3 (rather than downtown). However, it does provide a selection of more ‘country’ or ‘nature’ themed trinkets and must have found its market in Northfield. Prices are reasonable and merchandise is ‘cute’ and often ‘woodsy’ (hence the name).
