I recently needed to find a place quickly in Norman, without a lease, because I am planning to move soon. I looked around, and was disappointed by many of the places I found. Then, I found the Thunderbird Lodge listed in the classifieds. I called my friend who lived in Norman for many years, and it turns out, she used to work at the Thunderbird Lodge. She told me it was nice, so I checked it out. I immediately moved right in! They offer nightly, weekly and monthly rates, with all bills included, and even offer free cable, HBO, phone and a pool. My five year old and I were able to immediately move into a small efficiency, complete with a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and even a microwave! Their monthly rate is only $500, plus a small deposit. The people here are wonderful! Maid service is included, and the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a motel in the area for either short term or extended stays!

Recently, I decided I wanted to move to Norman, Ok. I wanted to take some time to select the home I wanted, so first, I looked for something temporary and inexpensive.
In the Norman area, it's not easy to find any inexpensive housing! I looked at some places that were more expensive, and less habitable, before finally finding the Thunderbird Lodge.
I was pleased from the beginning. The Thunderbird Lodge is a landmark in Norman, OK, home of the Oklahoma Sooners. It is situated on a very scenic lot, complete with lots of trees, gazebos and a nice pool.
Upon arrival, I found the employees to be very pleasant and courteous. The rooms were very nice, and more than affordable. I was able to rent a room, complete with a kitchenette, for $499 per month, and be in a nice, secure environment.
Another bonus is their location. They are about a mile and a half from the OU campus, a big plus for OU football fans and students alike! It is also near many restaraunts, stores and gas stations, so you don't have to travel far for whatever you may be needing.
PROS: Great location, fabulous prices, nice setting

The Montford Inn is a bed and breakfast with beautiful cottages you can reserve for an overnight stay or long weekend. Or a longer stay if you like. They also have rooms in the main house if you want to rent a a room and not a larger space.
Most of the cottages have fireplaces, beautiful canopy beds and heart shaped tubs. It is a romantic place to stay for an anniversary or needed get away from everyone:) If you want to bring the extras, food, etc.. they have nice kitchens to fix whatever your heart desires. Plus some have screened porches you can sit and relax outside.
I feel their prices are reasonable and they have ample parking.

I always enjoy my stay at the Residence Inn. The Residence Inn has become my home away from home, as I stay here weekly for business. I immediately feel comfortable when I enter their suites. Every suite has a full kitchen and even free high speed internet access (a perk I'm making use of right now). I enjoy coming home after a long day at work, curling up on the couch in front of the TV with a bowl of warm popcorn. Yes, even popcorn is included with the room! Also, I cannot say enough about the staff. They will do just about anything to make each of my stays wonderful.
Pros: Great Service, Full Kitchen, Free internet in room

The super 8 is a nice little hotel off the highway. They have an indoor pool and continental breakfast. The front desk is very helpful. It is a great place to stay for a quick hotel stay. They were super nice. Other than the strong chlorine smell, it was a great place to stay.

When my parents came to visit, I chose this hotel because it is so close to my dorm. Located on campus, 5 min from campus, this is the best place to stay on. One thing I like is all their decorations are OU theme. Everything in the bedroom and bathroom are all OU merchandise. The price is not bad too for a hotel standard. Besides, it's really so close to campus.

This place is rundown and filthy. The rooms look like they have never been cleaned and they are infested with cockroaches. The place is also full of drug activity. Definitely not a safe place for children.
