Norman Health Department has great facilities and a brand new building which makes the visit more pleasant. The nurses are all very helpful and kind and willing to help you. The Health Departments planned pregnancy program is wonderful, and they do offer programs for free birth control or planning. The Health Department also offers shots for free for children, so it is a wonderful place to take your child before school! The wait can be long, so make sure to plan accordingly!

My foot has hurt for years, but I never did anything about the pain. I finally went into see Dr. Hosler a few years ago. He diagnosed and treated me in no time, and managed to put me at ease. It was two years before I hurt again, and he was able to fix me up just as easy. It was a short wait in the waiting room, and the nurses and office staff are delightful.

It has been quite some time since I've had an experience where I thought, "I have to write a good review"!
I have had a terrible week, and adding to that, I have had terrible pain from a tooth, that I knew needed to be extracted. My Grandfather passed away, I hadn't slept, etc., but this morning, the pain from my tooth was just too much to take. I am on Medicaid, so I was seriously doubting that I would find a dentist in our area that even accepts Medicaid for adults in our area, much less, be able to get in any time soon.
After calling around, I was so surprised, when I reached Bright Smile Family Dentistry! They, immediately, set an appointment for me to get in today.
Once I arrived, I was a nervous wreck! I don't deal well with pain, and tend to have panic attacks any time I visit a doctor or dentist! They got me in the chair, and Dr. Chang walked in and introduced himself. He could see how terrified I was, and even though I'm a thirty-something year old woman, he took the time to reassure me, throughout the entire process. I explained that I have had problems with Novocaine not completely numbing me in the past, so he made sure I was completely numb, even giving a couple extra shots, since I wasn't, before he even attempted to begin the procedure. He and the nurse were both so kind and compassionate, and even laughingly told me they had seen patients more terrified than myself! lol
To sum it up, I was completely amazed by the good service from beginning to end. They did not treat me differently because I was a "Medicaid patient", as I have known many in any medical profession to do. They were absolutely wonderful, not only taking care of my problem, but making sure I was ok, all the way through. I was so impressed with the way they treated me that I, immediately, set up an appointment for my nine year old son, who is as scared of dentists as I am! That's saying a lot, that I insisted this doctor be the one to see my "baby"!
I would recommend their services to anyone!

Dr. Milligan was the pediatrician on duty at NRH when my son was born. He was very kind, and addressed all of our questions and concerns about some minor difficulites our son was having. He also put us at ease, as we had our son circumsized. We understand this is very routine, but with only have girls up to this point, it was a new experience for us. He was fantastic in his followup.

Recently, I found myself very frustrated, as I was looking for some necessary medical supplies for use after a major back surgery. My physician wrote prescriptions for this equipment, including common items, such as a back brace, a walker and a TENS unit. I called my regular pharmacy, and they do not carry any of the mentioned items. I called some of the larger chains, and still could not find certain items I had been prescribed.
Finally, what a relief, when a friend recommended I call Sooner Pharmacy!
Located on West Lindsey Ave, it is very easy to find and conveniently located.
What I really love about this pharmacy is that they allow you to accomplish many things with one visit. They carry all the prescription medications, as well as over the counter medications, even herbal and natural varieties. They offer home health supplies, both for sale, and for rent, for anyone needing something for a short term recovery.
Another great thing is that, while waiting for prescriptions to be filled, there is a huge selection of many different sections to browse and shop. My children even love going to the pharmacy with me now, as they have so many unique and fun items. And their prices are great, which makes me enjoy taking the kids!
All in all, if you are looking for a one stop pharmacy to meet all your needs, I would definitely recommend Sooner Pharmacy!

I recently needed to find a place quickly in Norman, without a lease, because I am planning to move soon. I looked around, and was disappointed by many of the places I found. Then, I found the Thunderbird Lodge listed in the classifieds. I called my friend who lived in Norman for many years, and it turns out, she used to work at the Thunderbird Lodge. She told me it was nice, so I checked it out. I immediately moved right in! They offer nightly, weekly and monthly rates, with all bills included, and even offer free cable, HBO, phone and a pool. My five year old and I were able to immediately move into a small efficiency, complete with a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and even a microwave! Their monthly rate is only $500, plus a small deposit. The people here are wonderful! Maid service is included, and the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a motel in the area for either short term or extended stays!
