Thunderbird stables is definitely the place to go if you're interested in riding but can't keep your own horse/ field. Most of the horses are trained for novice riders (so if you really are into professional riding it may not be the best place). The horses all line up and go along but if you get a younger one you will have some room to guide them yourself! They ask about your experience when matching you up with a horse, so be sure to be honest!
Also! It's a great place for birthday parties if you're looking for creative ideas!

if you want a change from the normal friday night movie, the sooner theatre is the place to go. They have great live productions and sometimes have special showings of independent films. I love the historical aspect of this theatre and highly recommend looking into it. This is a great place to catch a play or an independent film.

Skateland 2020 is conveniently located in the center of Norman. It is an awesome place to have fun with kids of all ages. They really do cater to the entire family. They have skate sizes from tiny to huge! My children love to have their birthday parties at Skateland. They offer parties where you can rent the entire rink. They also offer many other great ways to have fun, for anyone who may not want to skate. They have video games, pool tables, and my family's favorite... air hockey!!! They have fun music, and a great snackbar, that includes items for everyone. The price is average, as far as skating rinks go, but it really is worth it, for the fun that you will have!

The Natural History Museum is a must see in Norman! The exhibits are nicely displayed and the collection is unbelievable. There are some wonderfully huge dinosaur skeletons, activities for children, and guided tours. The Museum is nicely managed. This is definitely a place worth seeing at least once (if not more) !!

i love this theatre because it is so inexpensive. while the concessions stand is outrageously overpriced, the $1 you pay for a movie makes it all worth it. Since you never know if you're going to really enjoy the movie, its nice to know that you didnt blow almost $10 on a dud.

"Perfect Swing" is virtually perfect. It is a fun center which revolves around the whole family. There is golf (professional set up and court) for the elders, putt putt for youngers, large screen TVs for watching the games, batting cages, video game archades and more! The best time to visit is in the summer when all rides (including go carts and bumper boats) are avaliable, its relatively cheap and full of fun!
