The more people buying, the faster the change of produce, the fresher the produce. And they are always putting out new product and cleaning. I love the store. The crowds are there for the best reason- they want great food and good prices, just like me!

How can you not love an Affy Tapple? Special message to the makers of these sweet treats: I LOVE YOU!!! These little caramel apples have been part of my life, and most of your lives, for many years. Every time I see one I have to reflect on those glory days of school fund raisers where we sold them for a quarter a piece. You could just see the joy in the kids' eyes when it was "Affy Tapple Day" at school. I still love them to this day. The next time you are shopping around, look for these classics and munch on a couple just for the memoriess :)

Farmer’s Best Produce in Niles, Illinois is THE cheapest place to have the freshest and largest selection of fruits and vegetables in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. They are open very late for a small store (until 10 PM most weekdays) so it is convenient to go as it fits your schedule. Also you know they have the freshest meats and seafood because they have such a high turnover rate. Make sure to go early in the morning if you want the best selection of fruits.

If you are tired of buying your meat from some faceless person at a CostCo near you and want that old-fashioned one-on-one attention like the good old days you need to pay a visit to Schmeisser's. Yes, they are known for their sausages, but my family loves them because it's the best place in town to buy a pork roast.
This is the kind of place where you need to know your cuts of meat when you walk in. Quality is second-to-none and you can tell by the crowds that congregate here. You point to the meat you want and tell them how you want it cut and, voila, fresh meat. No signs tell you what the cuts of meat are, you need to know.
It's classic. It's good stuff. It's quality and it's worth the price.

This little store is tucked away in the Strip Mall that time forgot. The biggest store that used to be in this little mall was some fabrics store and that was closing the last time I was there. Tucked away in here is this store and if you are into health food, vitamins, organic food or have a food allergy this place has everything you need.
This is not your typical store. The aisles are filled to bursting with food and product. The aisles are sometimes filled so much they clutter the place. Still, if you want it, you can find it. The hap-hazard way of the place sort of ads to its charm.
Their selection of vitamins and supplements is pretty much gi-normous. If you head to the back you find freezers full of products for those of us who have food allergies. Ice creams, cakes, brownies, etc. are all there so you can still enjoy frozen sweets without worry about allergic reactions.
The woman who runs the place is ALWAYS there. Her entire life seems wrapped up in this store, but that means she knows her products inside and out. She is very nice, friendly and willing to answer questions about products at any time.
Hard to find, a little dangerous just walking around the place, but worth it if you have a need for special food.
