I choose this restaurant because I wanted to try a new place and what better time to see what NYC has to offer than Restaurant Week 2009. So I was a little nervous when I saw a packed bar and restaurant but graciously planned ahead by making a reservation. Reservations are recommended so that the tension of waiting is void. Once seated I was blown away by the food and the service. I had the BBQ spare ribs with collard greens and the ribs fell right off the bone. The drinks were pretty good and the staff was friendly. I will def go back with a crowd and have some more of that homegorwn sauce. Check it out for yourself and enjoy!
Pros: Delicious food
Cons: Reservations recommended

I love Pizza, I mean love it. My favorite spot in NY was in Brooklyn, but they now have comp. Fresh crisp crust, fresh sauce, great toppings. RIDICULOUS! I am not Italian, nor have a I been to Italy, so I can not compare, but I love this place. I don't like fresh Mozz, like at Lombardi's anyway. Lombardi's is not as good as John's. The sauce does not match up. Lombardi's crust is good, salty at times, but good, but John's is the BOMB! Try it.
Pros: Pizza
Cons: None

Used to live down the block from here; due to the perpetual out-the-door wait, I would pop by an hour before, go eat elsewhere, and then head back for the reason to go--the dessert. The frozen hot chocolate is a much-imitated but unequaled classic. Not the cleanest joint, but chock full of retro, cute ambiance. Skip dinner and eat up dessert. Want to try the Vegas one next time I'm there.
Pros: Delicious desserts
Cons: Always a wait, lackluster entrees.

I went to Blue Water Grill last night, for my husband?s birthday. We had a table in the jazz room. Excellent atmosphere, a little crowded and noisy for my taste, but acceptable considering what it was coming. Their food is AMAZING! Their Chilean sea bass is perfectly prepared. This fabulous tasting white fish is served on a bed of greens drizzled with soy sauce and accompanied by a pyramid of sticky, flavored white rice which gives this delicate and flaky, buttery and mild fish an Asian twist. The crab cake is melting in your mouth. In my opinion, it is the best I?ve had in NYC. The freshly made potato chips are adding a crisp note to the softness of the extremely fresh crab meat. The calamari is served on a bed of cilantro leaves and grated carrots, drizzled with a perfectly matching sauce. The music is fine and completes the atmosphere. What I didn?t like was the hostess?s sour face and the waiter?s service. In the end, the complimentary champagne drinks were offered to make up for the little unexpected behavior of our server and for the uncomfortable table setting that we were assigned for the evening. A little bit more attention to that would make the place perfect, and who is not thriving for perfection these days?
Pros: food
Cons: sour hostess and rude waiter

A fun french environment with great music playing. I had Caroline do my hair. My hair before was dry, dull and stick-straight boring. After Caroline worked her magic my hair now is bouncy shiny and has layers that are easy and allow movement. I love it!!I plan on returning again and again.
Pros: great haircut!
Cons: none
