I was never a very big fan of the Manhattan Mall even when they renovated it. It's not a bad place but it doesn't really have any stores that stand out. It's just very run of the mill and generic. It is conveniently located next to the trains and the fast food joints however. Don't bother going unless you here about very good sales.

Manhattan Mall used to be full of stores, shoppers, and teenyboppers displaying their public affections. Now, it's kind of like a dead zone. Almost all the stores in it have closed to make room for offices and such. There are like three remaining clothing stores in the "mall," Charlotte Russe (kind of like Forever 21), Aeropostale, and Express. People rarely come here to shop anymore, and when they do stop in, it's probably because they just finished at Macy's across the street.

You'd think a mall in Manhattan would be excellent. This mall isn't terrible but it isn't the best. They don't have a majority of the stores you'd think a mall in the City would have, and they are redoing a lot of parts of the building simply because they want to improve a lot of it. I mean they have some good stores such as Aeropostale and such, but nothing like the City itself. Alright I guess.

I am opposed to there being malls in NYC in general, but I must say, if we're going to have them, they should be more like the Time Warner Center. This mall is run down, depressing and with a poor store selection. The stores that are there can also be found as standalones throughout the city, often in much better incarnations. I can't think of any reason to go to this mall other than to warm up on a cold day or because you had to walk through it to get to the subway.

Manhattan Mall is conveniently located in the middle of Herald Square, near Macy's, Gap, American Eagle, Forever 21, etc. The mall itself, however, contains a small selection of mediocre stores. The three floors are relatively small and easily browsed through. The food court provides a wide variety of cheap food -- ethnic (Chinese, Italian, Cajun), pizza, Subway's, McDonald's, etc. I would recommend the mall as a nice place to have lunch, but not to shop.

it is not really that great of a mall. they have your typical stores such as aeropostale, express, and victoria's secret. if you are looking to go shopping at a mall for a really long time, this place probably is not it. they do not really have a lot of different stores. it is three floors, and you will probably get through them pretty quick. the mall itself is pretty small. if you know specifically what you need to get then this is a good place to go to as it is pretty well organized. it is pretty easy to find anything you need. however, other than it being a mall in the middle of manhattan. there is nothing really unique about it.

Sometimes it's nice to just have everything in one building which was why it used to be fun coming into this mall. They closed off the top levels to businesses. There really isn't much to see and the food court isn't really that good. However, you're not too far off from the next clothing shop or any shop, for that matter. Just turn the corneer and you can see Macy's down on Herald's.

So this mall was supposed to be big and bad when it first emerged and it sort of was. I did ride the train in to meet my friends so we could shop on all the floors and be close enough to Penn Station. It was full of bustling shoppers then but over years I have watched the stores close one by one and the ones that are remaining I really question how are they surviving. Usually malls have an upbeat atmosphere around them...this one is pretty dead and sad. The glass building was a great idea but the windows don't face anything pretty and walking from one store to another while passing 3 that have been closed is somewhat depressing.

This is one of my least favorite malls. There is nothing to distinguish it in any way. The few stores/shops it has are uninteresting and expensive. It's a huge glass building with over seven falls but they recently renovated so all the stores are now on the first two levels. I think they are subletting the other floors for apartments or suites.

This mall is ok. It is rather small for a mall and doesn't have that many stores. There are only 3-4 levels of stores, and that includes the food court. The stores that are available are mostly brand name stores. It's not a bad mall but it's also not particularly impressive.
I like the food court because it has many restaurants and a wall of TVs with different channels.
