plain and simple:
Went to try on for last fitting, my dress was loose. The person making the appointment wanted to make my appointment too close to my wedding date and that made me nervous. I asked if we could make it sooner, she snapped at me and walked away. Needless to say I was dumbfounded, tried to follow her to ask for a change date. She went to the back room and refused to talk to me, a guy and girl from the back stood in front of me and said that I needed to get out. I said I need to make an appointment for my alteration and they said, she gave you date, so leave. I persisted to say I need to speak with a manager and they said if you stay here WE'LL CALL THE POLICE!!!! I was outraged, felt like I was in a twilight movie and said call the police, I believe I need their help. Finally the owner came out, I believe more to keep other customers from witnessing this scene, and snapped at me too. I told him I need a date for alterations and he finally gave me a descent date.
Bottom line: I left there disgusted, but forced to purchased this dress since my wedding was weeks away. Disgusting does not even begin to describe how bad this place is and I can't believe it is still in business.
My sister is getting married next year and she will not be bringing any business to them!
Find another place. It is not worth the frustration and embarrassment, especially during this happy occasion.
Pros: None
Cons: DISGUSTING, CRIMINAL LIKE BEHAVIOR

This place. I tell you. I'm always the fair review type when it comes around. I will tell the truth.
This place hugely disappointed me. I had been here about 10 times and had not had a problem, aside from the careless unprofessional attitude that you kind of have to brush off. Once, to try on a million dresses for my friend's wedding. I purchased the dress, they met the price, everything ok!
Here comes my time to try on wedding gowns. When you walk in, you kind of have to shake the attitude you receive upon walking in. It's a sort of "what do you want" attitude. OKAY! I want a dress, thankyouverymuch.
So, I am attended by Gilda, who did a GREAT job in finding dresses perfect for me. Although I didn't think any of those were the "one," she was definitely spot on when helping me.
Fast forward...all of the other times I went in, I was ignored to death because Gilda was not there. It's a commission thing. Once someone helps you and you return to try more dresses on, you will be completely ignored if your associate is not there. So of course, I pick dresses that are completely wrong for me. The associate helping me does not offer to get me dresses that are great for me. Instead, she rushed me out, left me in the fitting room trying to hold back my anger. She said, "I don't mean to rush you but try to hurry and get dressed because I have a bride after you that I have to get to."
No help. Nothing. What they're supposed to do is look at your figure and style of dress and suggest gowns to you, bring them in, and work their magic. Nothing done.
That day, as the associate kicked me out of the dressing room, I complained to the manager. What does she do? Nothing. Suggests nothing and explains that because they close, they have to get to the other brides and basically kickede me out.
They need to hire more staff, more *professional* staff like Gilda. Unfortunately, these people are a KLASS act.
The next day, I posted my experience on the south florida board (Theknot). I swear to you - the manager posed as someone who was there at the exact time I was, she called me bridezilla and said it was all a lie. Wow! So maybe she should get off the RK Bridal computers and help the brides that are waiting to try dresses on. Do not be disappointed by these less than professional people. They do not know how to please their customers. My complaint should have been taken to improve their service.
I'm tired of fighting through RK Bridal. I gave them my money ONCE for a bridesmaid dress but I will not return and will give them my money for my wedding dress.
Do not bother with this place.
Pros: prices
Cons: disgusting service

I am, BY FAR, NOT a "primadonna" bride(see below, which I think might be the store and I will report them). I am 40 years old and this was my second wedding, This was a very casual event so I wasn't there to be pampered or treated like a young "princess" so that being said, here is what actually happened to me:
They ordered a size too big for me also (that seems to be they way they scam money since a lot of people are complaining about the same thing). The alteration fees weren't communicated clearly. The sales people were good and the seamstress herself was very nice. But the so called management and appointment coordinators were very unprofessional and rude.
They have no sense of "The Customer Is ALWAYS Right", they just don't get it. Sad.
Pros: nice sales person
Cons: fraud in the alteration fees, very unprofessional

I have been looking for my wedding gown for Months! So by that you should know that I have been to many many many bridal salons in the DC, Md, Va, and NY areas...I even went to Kleinfelds. But today was my day thank goodness and I found it here. First of all they don't take appointments its first come first serve, when you get there you have to put your name on the list and they call you when their sales rep is available. While I waited for 45 minutes I noticed that they all help eachother out with the clients and also that Saturday is a very busy day and I wasn't ready for that. Well I finally got my turn and since I had 3 dresses already in mind from the San Patrick 2010 collection and they were the only ones in the East Coast that even had such a current collection I was estatic to have them all in one location. They don't let you take photos but that didn't bother me since they had all the dresses there and I could compare them live. I finally tried the dresses on and fell in love with the first one and so did some other girls there as they waited for me to take it off and tru it on for themselves. I must say you HAVE to go here for their wide and most current selection and of course prices!

I went in today for some dyeable shoes. A younger salesperson who was greeting people at the door tried to assist me and was very nice. They had a sale area but the shoes were unorganized (and some of them were dirty) and it was all confusing. She had to ask an older woman in the back for the price. The older saleslady came out and barked at me "where did you get those shoes!?" I was holding a different pair so I explained where they were from and she said "well thats what i asked you!" very rudely I might add. I was ready to buy the more expensive shoes but figured I'd try somewhere I wouldnt get yelled at. i found them at My Glass Slipper for ten dollars less. i was just shocked at that lady, it was so uncalled for. After carefully reading the positive reviews on citysearch, i would conclude that RK writes its own reviews. You'll notice the CAPS to add EMPHASIS in every REVIEW.
Cons: unorganized, rude

We went shopping for my daughter's wedding dress at RK. She had done her homework and printed out pictures of what she wanted. We were the first customers for the Saturday that we went. Emily started to help us and recognized the gowns we had the pictures for and pulled a few others she thought my daughter might want. She had to leave us but turned us over to Janice's very capable hands. The first dress my daughter tried on was THE ONE. She tried on others but ended up with that one. We are having our own alterations done. They took her measurements and did not try to sell her a larger dress as others noted. We were in and out in an hour and a half with my daughters dress on order. We all agreed we would recommend this place.
Pros: Knowledgeable and helpful staff

I went to RK b/c I recently started working in Midtown again. I have 4 weddings in the next two years, one being my own to shop for. . . So I thought -- why not try this spot first since it is reputed to be such a great discount bridal spot. . .
Honestly -- don't believe the hype. It wasn't all that fabulous. I didn't see a bridesmaid's dress priced under 175 -- at it was for Jay Bari, Alfred Angelo etc. brands that if you looked for it you can ALWAYS find on sale even at David's Bridal! The dresses also weren't in the best condition.
Next, the wedding gowns -- very true there do seem to be a lot of gowns crammed on the racks and into the space. I was looking at the San Patrick, La Sposa Gowns to be clear. I love Pronovia but thought I couldn't afford it and RK's lines are made by the same design house -- and with the lure of discount I thought EXCELLENT!!! oops not quite. . . The cheapest gown in that line was over 2000 -- now that is great and all but considering that I can just go to the source and get a cheaper nicer gown, in better condition -- I was disappointed.
I guess bottom line - -see for yourself if it fits your budget. But if you are a true bargain hound -- seek elsewhere.
Pros: Big Selection of Gowns, Open Space for Browsing
Cons: Location, Price, Service

What a pleasure it was to shop at RK Bridal. The sales associates were so kind and helpful to both myself and my bridesmaids. I was able to find everything I needed despite the overwhelming amount of inventory they have. This bridal salon was HIGHLY recommended to me by past brides and I had previously read a lot of wonderful reviews online and in bridal blogs.
I have no complaints about this salon! Good luck to all the future brides! RK is THE place to go!
Pros: outstanding variety and customer service!
Cons: none!

Called to find out the status of my dress and the balance on the gown because I lost my receipt and the man i spoke with was no help at all. He was not willing to check at all. Simply said the dress is upstairs with the oder detail. I asked if anyone is upstairs to check and he simply said no! Was not willing at all to help. Summary: Rude
By the way they take forever to do alterations better off going to your local tailor for that.

I tried on a dress for my friend's wedding. I got screamed at by the girl holding the "Book" by the door because i didn't talk to her first. I told her i had an appointment and was just trying on a dress. She caught an attitude with me and said i had to speak to her first. After I told her about herself politely I kept walking. I tried on my dress in less that 2min because they rush you out! Then the alterations guy told me i needed a bigger size when the dress i had on clearly fit AND i had ROOM! He said because i had a big bust that i needed to order it a bigger size! He was so rude! He disregarded my size and put a size bigger so that i could pay for alterations! This place is TERRIBLE. I have many more complaints but there isn't enough time. The bride also had a terrible experience! They refused to do her alterations. It was a mess!!!! Don't go there if you want a pleasant experience!
Pros: Tons of dresses
Cons: Staff is nasty
