I was very happy with my experience at Academy Floral at 108th & Broadway. The staff there was very helpful and extremely friendly... the proprietor was really willing to go the extra mile to help me out by putting together a beautiful bouquet right when they were closing.
Their website has a very extensive selection, and helped me to find the perfect bouquet that expressed just what I wanted to say (close friendship with some romantic undertones). I couldn't have been more satisfied with my purchase and was very impressed by this shop
Also they said they deliver to most dorms on Columbia/Barnard campus

This is a nice florist shop - many times giving out flowers for free. Overall, their flowers are high quality. Although not as cheap as lets say a supermarket, it still is a reasonably priced florist shop (by Manhattan standards) that will come thrrough for you in a pinch and, of course, with friendly service. Also about the service, they also will provide great alternate flower ideas in case you do not want to bring another rose to your beloved so they are worth a visit.

Do you like mandel bread? Do you even know what mandel bread is? If so, go to Moishe's which ahs the best marbel mandel bread I've ever had. Also fantastic challahs and random pastries. Closed on Saturdays, Moishe's is a slice of old New York we're lucky still exists. Check it out.
