This school provides a top notch education for your kids. It is well worth the effort if you are thinking of buying or renting on the East Side of Manhattan to try to get a place within its zone. Chock full of special programs that you would associate with a private school. The staff is dedicated and makes an extra effort to see that your child gets all the help he or she might need.

PS 6 is always one of the top ranked public schools in District 2. If you don't live in the zone, try to get a variance but usually, your child has to pass evaluation first and spots are very limited. Strong sibling policy so if you can get one child in, the other child is automatically in. Well financed PTA helps pay for many extras. Pay attention to make sure your child is keeping up with the work. Many dedicated teachers but not every one.

This school provides a top notch education for your kids. It is well worth the effort if you are thinking of buying or renting on the East Side of Manhattan to try to get a place within its zone.
