My husband and I were in the mood for a fondue and happened upon this quaint restaurant on west 58th Street. There are 2 levels - street level and downstairs. The most unfortunate part of our meal was our seat - right at the bottom of the staircase with one of our seats facing the stairs and what looked like a messy storage area for boxes. Other than that, the staff was very nice and attentive. (Several of the male waiters are cute, too! :-) ) We had a bottle of Riesling which was actually great, started with a mesclun salad in a fantastic vinaigrette, just the perfect entree before a big fondue! THe fondue was FANTASTIC! They got the perfect blend of cheese and kirsh - we tried the provencale with herbs, and got sausage on the side, it was just absolutely wonderful! We were pleasantly tipsy and well fed by the end, just regretted not having room to try the chocolate fondue for dessert! Definitely would return with a bunch of friends for a special treat!
