This is a great store to load up on all the STUFF required to care for a baby. It seems like it should be simple doesn't it? But keeping a newborn safe and healthy seems to be very complicated. Thankfully stores like this exist to show you every available option in baby gear. This is NOT the place to buy clothing, instead use it as a resource for strollers, cribs, highchairs and toys. The feeding section is the best in the city--every bottle, nipple and other feeding contraption known to man. Finding a salesperson who can separate the trees from the forest is a different matter. They seemed to hire warm bodies not necessarily knowledgeable help. My advice is to check out some parenting website and print pout a list prior to shopping, then scan the aisles and check out the merchandise at this store. The pacifier (aka, binky) section is also amazing. I found a pacifier leash that has saved me much agony and distress over dropped pacifiers. Can't exactly pop those suckers back int he mouth after they fall on the subway floor!

If you're looking for anything Baby related, this is the best Babies R Us to go to. Skip the one in Brooklyn, SI and at Gateway Plaza. I was able to find everything necessary here and do all my registry shopping for friends no problem! Plus all the associates there are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to get advice on what to buy and personalized reviews on almost all major purchases. Depending on the time of day and week, the store can be a little packed but with so many floors and areas to checkout, you don't feel like it.
