Havana Central is a cool place to have some good Cuban food. This is a nice impressive place for a hang out. The food is never disappointing. The live band is an added bonus. The place is a little loud, between the guest talking and the band, nothing unusual for any restaurant think they may have bad acoustics. The wait wasn't too bad, went around 7pm. The wait staff seems very busy and can tend to ignore you but pleasant at the same time. The bathroom service is annoying, good for the restaurant and the chic taking tips but I hate the obligation of paying cause I need to use the potty. Ignoring that ,did I mention the food is awesome. Pros: Great tasting food Cons: Loud and busy staff

we've been going here for about 4 years now, had our first date there and last night celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary, always great food and excellent times. the mojitos are the best in town. you can't have just one!!!. one thing though, last night we had a waiter stop by our table for on reason or another and he was a conceited snob. our normal waiter last night was excellent as always. IF YOU HAPPEN TO GET A WAITER NAMED BOGDAN, GET A DIFFERENT TABLE. LITTLE WISE-GUY SNOB, WITH A BAD ATTITUDE...other wise every moment we spend there is incredible. give this place 10 stars if possible. gotta ditch BOGDAN though Pros: everything there is awesome Cons: none

We had a hankering for Cuban food and knew that we wanted to avoid the touristy Times Square area, but didn't want to venture too far away from our hotel on 53rd. We kicked around the idea of Havana Central a few times over a couple of days but kept dismissing it because of the location. Fast forward to the last day of our trip. We had just finished a walking tour of Times Square from its beginnings and were hungry for lunch. We'd checked out of our hotel and didn't have much time before we needed to head for the airport. We knew where Havana Central was and decided to take a chance. We ordered the sandwich de Pavo (smoked turkey) and sandwich de pollo extraordinaire (grilled chicken). Both were, ultimately, food at its most basic level but beyond basic nourishment they really weren't much. No real flavor, very bland and pretty much what one would expect from a chain such as Applebee's. Needless to say, we were very disappointed.

I visit Havana Central very often because i just love the food and the atmosphere. As soon as i enter the restaurant i feel very welcome by the hostess.when i last visit the restaurant i was sat next to the window which was a bit cold and when asked the hostess if she can change our table she without hesitation changed our table. Our server was awesome and of course the food was delicious. i ordered a churrasco (skirt steak) would've thought it was going to take long to be ready but it didn't. i got my food fast and well done. I have no complaints about Havana. They also have the best mojitos, and I try to make it to their happy hours as often as i can! Pros: food, service is great, great atmosphere Cons: can be a bit loud when the band is playing. Tables are too close to each other

I visited the 46th st restaurant just a few months ago and had such a great time that I wanted to take my parents and cousins to your 17th st restaurant. The Pernil was like our granmother made back home. The Ropa Vieja and Beef Stew were also excellent. The mojitos are the best I have had in New York. I want to thank the chef and staff for making our evening unforgettable. Your team at Hanava Central has made us lifetime customers. Pros: this restaurant has a great feel to it
