talented artists, but the lack of professionalism at the shop means ill never go back there. i have a sleeve that was started by one of the artists there, now after 2 years of trying to get it filled in, about 40 (no joke) phone calls and voicemail tag with the often M.I.A. receptionist of the artist ive given up and decided to find another artist. poor communication and VERY poor customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: talented artists Cons: extremely long wait list

I got my nose pierced at Adorned in July/08. I waited to write a recommendation after seeing the outcome. After searching around and visiting a few places, I chose to go to Adorned. I was nervous when I walked in, as it was my first piercing (other than earlobes). I met Danielle. She was very friendly and patient. She explained the whole process to me and we selected jewellery. She calmed me down and it went exactly like she described. She gave aftercare instructions. I followed them and it's healing nicely. I highly recommend the place which is clean and with friendly staff and I highly recommed Danielle. Pros: Experienced staff, friendly, clean

I came here on a Saturday night to get a Monroe piercing. My piercer was Colby. He was awsome!!! He made me feel soooo comfortable, and he did the piercing perfect. It was quick and easy. He really cared about my comfort. He explained exactley why he was placing the piercing where he did. He made sure it was in the right spot- he is a true artist. I love my piercing!! I have had other piercings before, and have passed out everytime. This was the first time i didnt pass out! Colby was so great! As far as the jewelry, the selection was OKAY. They had some nice jewelry. I paid like $120 for the piercing and jewelry (small CZ stud) plus a tip for Colby. Overall very reccommended- if i ever get another piercing i will come here, and am even considering getting a tat here. The place has a nice ambiance too! Pros: Great Piercing, Convenient hours, Cool staff, VERY CLEAN and nice atmoshphere

I was looking at a couple of places to get my first tattoo done, and finally settled on Adorned after reading the reviews here. I'm glad I did! This being my first ink, I went in feeling nervous as heck and not knowing what to expect. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and made me feel at ease. I went in during their walk-in hours because the design I wanted was really small and simple. I only had to wait for about 15 minutes. My artist, Damion, was very friendly and professional, and did a great job on the tattoo. My only problem with this place is that they have limited walk-in hours (Saturdays after 1 pm only), so you might find yourself waiting a while unless you're at the door at 1 o'clock sharp. Some people may also feel they're too pricey, but hey, when it comes to putting something on your body that's going to be there FOREVER, I'd rather pay top dollar and have a peace of mind knowing I'm getting the best there is. I love my tattoo, and will definitely go to Adorned again. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, skillful artists Cons: Limited walk-in hours, on the pricey side (though worth it!)

i literally joined this site, just to leave a good review here for the haters. they're simply direct, and to the point with their clients which saves time for everyone. for those who think 150 an hour is pricey, go to ur local spot and get a sleeve done for 50 bux and see how well its done. :P stephanie tamez did my first tatt, and i fully plan on going back to NYA for more work from her. i booked it and had a consultation with her at NYSA but got the tatt done at the brooklyn NYA2 before its grand opening, which is a total honor! stephanie walked me through the process and freehanded something that makes me happy every time i see it. and she covered the top half of my back in less than 2 hours. thank you! AND her advice on aftercare is the best i've heard and it healed perfectly (not a single scab or other problem) in about 10 days. Pros: quality, cost, aftercare, hours, consultation , patience Cons: the wait! but its worth it :)

I had my first ever piercings - earlobes - today at the age of twenty-one. Danielle, who pierced me, made me feel really at ease, as did all the other people working there. The jewelry is very pretty (although expensive) and everything was very clean. I felt really comfortable and am glad I chose to have my ears needle-pierced instead of pierced by a gun. Highly recommended!

I had my first piercing by Colby and he was great. For being a pretty sensitive area he made me extremely comfortable and has a very soothing way about him. He's completely in-tune with his work and looks for perfection in the positioning and making sure you are happy. All of the staff was extremely helpful and very nice as well, not pretentious or trying to pressure anyone into anything or working with a do it now or get out mentality. They also want to make you comfortable in the setting and that feels reassuring, and it has such a great vibe. I can't recommend them enough and I will definitely go back to get more done there. Pros: great staff, great technicians, clean shop, friendly and courteous Cons: none

Went to the ny adorned manhattan location for a pretty old school tattoo with daniel santoro, based on a recommendation from a friend. i was not disappointed! he was really sweet and funny unlike alot of artists at the shop and the city in general. will def. be going back and sending my friends. Pros: great tattoo artist, nice assistants, amazing work! Cons: pricey (you get what you pay for!), weird, unattractive shop

I had such a wonderful experience getting my monroe pierced by Danielle at New York Adorned! I am not new to piercings or tattoos (I have double standards in both ears, navel, nose and a VCH and three tatoos) but I was still nervous! The shop is very clean and they are patient when it comes to explaining procedure. Danielle was very professional and I would tell any and everybody to get pierced by an artist of this caliber. None of the employees gave off the "you are not cool because you are not pierced and tatt'ed everywhere" attitude. One of my best friends and I went and we both decided after the experience I had to go back and get tattoos. Not matching. Overall: -Good Service -Approchable Artists -Resonably Priced -Clean facilities -Informational Website Pros: great space, gave the right information Cons: none!
