Located in Canal Street, this is one of my husband's all time favorite stores!! They sell everything from tools to misc. hardware to metal. It's a mom and pop hardware shop. They are fairly helpful in terms of customer service -- but it's best if you go in knowing what you want. It's usually crowded and busy with lots of people looking for specific items.

Metal, metal, and more metal... Oh, and some casters and tape and tools, all in the middle of touristy canal street. They will cut the chains for you, and even crimp aircraft cable, but more likely if you're a lovely lady. It is a busy place so don't expect to get out of there quickly.

My husband swears by this place. It has the look and feel of a hardware store when I was a kid (in the 80's) It has that dingy musty smell and is a total mess, but you can score some incredible deals! I much prefer they pass the savings to the customer than to be neat and organized but charge me an arm, a leg, and my first born for a few nuts and bolts! They will surprise you by having things you would only expect to find at a big name Home Improvement store or warehouse. I recommend it!

This is a great hardware store. They have everything you would need. The prices are cheaper than other hardware stores. The store looks a little run down, but for my hardware needs, it need not be a trendy establishment. The price is right and the selection is great - what else could you need in a hardware store?

If you, like most other New Yorkers, do not have a car to drive to Home Depot, you will need to pay a visit to C K & L Hardware. Conveniently located next to the Canal Street subway station, This store is a warehouse of all hardware supplies that you can and cannot think of. Its selection definitely beats Kmart’s. You should not be surprised to find items offered at lower than 50% of prices elsewhere.
