We have dined here several times and must say that this is a restaurant that deserves notice!!! , I have worked in the food and beverage industry in the past and have searched high and low for the caliber of service and attentiveness that you get here at Don Pedro's. I especially want to highlight one special facet of my latest fine dining experience, Our waiter Alex...who greeted us upon entry, set us up and served us with the type of knowledge that you would expect from the Regency or Hotel Pierrre, Four Seasons etc. I can say this beacause I have been exposed to this level of 5 star fine dining and this is exactly what we received at Don Pedro's, he made us comfortable with his friendly attitude and was on target with food/wine pairings. The service, food, decor, atmosphere and attention to detail are outstanding, We will definitely recommend ths establishment to friends and family. Don't hesitate to take the time to visit this wonderful eatery, you won't be dissapointed.
Pros: food, killer drinks, great wait staff, food & so on & so on lol
Cons: none

Stopped in for drinks yesterday based on a friend's recommendation. Aksew has some super tasty cocktails. One of my favorites is made with pear, rye, and lemon. The food was equally fabulous and very creative. Great job!
Pros: fun, creative

Best tapas I have had in a city. The flamenco show is very good as well. The atmosphere is very lively. If you want to see the flamenco dancer perform, when making reservations, ask for a table facing the little stage. Otherwise, you might have a side view and you will end up twisting your neck all evening long. Red sangria is very good. Choose about 5 tapas for 2 people and you won't be disappointed with the amount of food. Shrimp ceviche is so good.

Well, I was there yesterday night (Saturday) and I loved it! The food was super good, the flamenco was awesome and that Argentinian waiter that someone was bitching about in a previous review was hot!
The Spanish owner is also very nice and polite (and cute) and does everything he can to get you a table.

My husband and I ate here for dinner on a Friday night. We were attended to very quickly and courteously. The atmosphere is warm and inviting - loved the murals. We ordered the Pulpo a La Gallega as an appetizer and shared a Paella Marinera as an entree. For dessert, we tried the Tartufo. We loved it all. We had dined at Cafe Espanol on Carmine and the service could have been better, the restaurant was poorly lit making it hard to read the menu, and the Paella Valenciana was too salty. Cafe Espanol on Bleecker is the best.

My family and I have been eating here for years always been my staple when I travel to NYC. I've sent 40 to 50 people here over the years and I always received rave reviews. I recommend the tapas, paella and the red sangria. I have had most of the menu @ some time or another and everything is really fresh and great. The staff all have been there for years and I get treated like a king when I walk in. Do yourselves a favor TRY THIS PLACE!!!!
Pros: Food, atmosphire, Sangria
Cons: none

What a place! Sipping my mojito and savoring the authentic moroccan dishes while being lulled by the soft flutter of the white drapes on the ceiling, it was easy to forget I just got out of a cab that smelled like my grandmothers feet. This place will take you far from the clamor just outside. Beautifully detailed white mousharabiya wookwork lines all the walls. Gentle fans encorage the sheer curtains dance in the perfecty muted lighting. The staff was very polite and unobtrusive. The manager personaly served us a round of the sweet mint drinks we had been enjoying and ensured our satifaction at every opportunity. The perfectly selected subtle music and the fainty projected silent apparition of the original 1942 movie waving above our heads even furthered the overall aesthetic. Get out of NY but still stay in Soho. I certainly will agan and I think Bogart would too.
Pros: Ambience
Cons: Staff was too attractive (How is that bad?)

I usually NEVER write reviews, just too much trouble.... however, I did a seach for the place online to confirm the address (going there again with freinds for dinner) and came accross the listing in Citysearch.... I was SHOCKED to find that anyone could have given this place a rating under 5 (4 if you feel the prices are a tad on the higher side).
So to set the record straight..... Yes, it's a tad bit pricier than it could be, but WORTH it. The food, is FRESH, DELICIOUS and the variety is AWESOME! The portion sizes are generous and the biggest problem is knowing what to order.... everything is so tempting.
So, enjoy your meal there and I know after you go, you'll also be back here to give them the "*****" they deserve.
Pros: Excellent food & variety... biggest problem-- what to oder
Cons: A tad pricy, but worth it

Sala is really one of the best hide-away bars in the city. Located on a sleepy street in flatiron (sister location is down on bowery), this small and intimate bar features a terrific happy hour (2-for-1) and great spanish wines. I have yet to try a tapa I didn't love.
Pros: happy hour, wine, tapas, girls
Cons: none

I was pleasantly surprised when me and my bf stumbled into this hole in the wall. The wait staff was friendly and the decor was beautiful. What surprised me more was how reasonable the drink prices were! I definitely will be coming back here for some weekend pregaming and tapas!
Pros: romantic, cheap drinks, friendly staff
Cons: hard to get a drink at the bar at times
