So tasty!!! The pinchos variados appetizer was amazing...you get three different kinds of meat, a mini flame to heat them up to your liking, and numerous dipping sauces. The salmon ceviche was delish with just the right amount of lime juice and cilantro. The guac was amazing as well. I'd definitely recommend going with a group and sharing a bunch of tapas rather than ordering an entree.
We went at 9pm on a Friday night (group of 5) and definitely expected to wait. We were told 20 minutes, which ended up being more like an hour, which was annoying. I wasn't totally impressed by my drinks...the Yuca Sunrise (margarita and sangria) was OK. I definitely didn't like my Yuca Kiss. Drink prices are definitely reasonable ($10).
Pros: Fresh, large menu, fun
Cons: Long wait, very loud

Well, I was there yesterday night (Saturday) and I loved it! The food was super good, the flamenco was awesome and that Argentinian waiter that someone was bitching about in a previous review was hot!
The Spanish owner is also very nice and polite (and cute) and does everything he can to get you a table.

I went here about a year ago...wandering in the village with my honey, and stopped at a sign saying 2 free drinks & pri fixe brunch so I turned left and found the most adorable little tapas bar. Now I hope they still have brunch, because it was SO PLEASANT! It was just about noon and no one was there..so nice, my honey had the huevos rancheros and loved the mole! And I had a salmon goat cheese sandwich thing, only it was on this amazing bread!! Amazing, coffee, dessert- oh they were new so they brought out like a fondue strawberries and melting chocolate thing. Have been meaning to go back, but we live uptown...will have to as soon as it gets nice!! Hope they kept up with the brunch!
Pros: GREAT AMBIANCE, small, cozy toasty
Cons: size

Cool gastro-pub vibe at a this very accessively priced (read $25 and Under" as in glowing New York Times review) eartery adjoining the IFC Center. The Center is a terrific venue for independent and classic films and The Waverly gives it and extra special dimension. How many other theaters have a restuarant that can made a NYC foodie happy attached to them? But you have to know it's there as they don't make ti all that easy to spot, from the street - or the theater!

I have been to Vintage Irving a number of times and felt i had to write a review.
A friend of mine introduced me last year, when Zagat were filming the first televised version. We wasn't expecting there to be cameras but we did have to laugh! The service was fantastic, which you would expect if they were filming! The food and wine pairings are great for sharing.
I went back again a couple of months later and wondered if the service would be any less amazing and it wasnt! Once again my group was treated like we were the only group in the restaurant (the place was actually full this night!).
I have been back several times and have never once been disappointed. It's a great place and will continue to be one of my fave places in Manhattan!!
Pros: Staff, food, wine

I moved to the upper east side a couple months ago and have been using this site to help me find places to hang out and I think I finally did. Uptown has a great happy hour special everyday and that's why I first tried it. Now I go all the time because the food is great and I can get anything from buffalo chicken fingers to filet mignon. Also the bar always has a lot of hot girls because it's one of the nicer places in the neighborhood. They let the bartenders buy back rounds after you've had a few too. I've officially made this place my spot and it doesn't hurt that the staff has started to remember my name when I go there. See you soon Uptown.
Pros: Cool drinks, great food
Cons: It's not on the same block as my apartment

For an authentic fresh take on mexican cuisine, this is the place to be. Everyone is so friendly and with the live music and karaoke Wednesdays is a trip! Ladies nite on Tuesdays is great! We get to unwind and feel at home. Their seafoos is fresh. The shrimp is sweet! Chicken is not dry at all & the beef is so tender! Yes I CAN EAT!!!(not all at the same time! lol!) Everything is so fresh and you can taste the ingredients. I'm hispanic so you know we like our seasonings & herbs! I highly reccommend J's Bar & Grill!
