Trust me when I tell you I'm not a steak lover - I much prefer seafood - but I was talked into trying their steak. Oh my gosh! Absolutely delicious!! So good in fact, it's made me reconsider how often I'll have it (which before was maybe once a year!)

I recently attended an event here after work. The place was very unique. They had 2 bars and the walls looked like they had an infinity forest, there was also a huge chandelier in the back that was very cool. The food was small plates and the sliders were great. The cocktail menu looked very good but i tend to stick to wine. Overall our event went really well. The DJ they supplied played great music too.

In searching for a place to host a 70th birthday dinner for my father, we selected Tapas Floridita because of its ideal location and its great food. I have to add that the service was wonderful, the planning was hassle-free, the cost very reasonable and they were very accommodating to all of my requests. The flamenco show was impressive and added to the feeling that we were in a bar in Spain.
The evening was very special and I would totally host another event there. I recommend this restaurant, whether for drinks & tapas, an intimate gathering or a large group.
Pros: Service was wonderful, accommodating to a large group
Cons: A small space, but very comfortable

tuna tacos, fried shrimp, garlic shrimp these are just a few of the yummy tapas my friends and i had recently at la fonda del sol (we ate in the lounge). everything we had (and we had a lot) was delicious. the manchego croquetas were so good that we actually fought over the last one! would definitely recommend this place for a group of people or for a drink and tapas at the bar.

Cool gastro-pub vibe at a this very accessively priced (read $25 and Under" as in glowing New York Times review) eartery adjoining the IFC Center. The Center is a terrific venue for independent and classic films and The Waverly gives it and extra special dimension. How many other theaters have a restuarant that can made a NYC foodie happy attached to them? But you have to know it's there as they don't make ti all that easy to spot, from the street - or the theater!

I recently held an event at Costa Del Sol and was remarkable pleased with how everything turned out. The food was fantastic, we had the paella, salmon, chicken marsala and plenty more. Everything was delicious, everyone kept commenting how great the food tasted. The waiters kept bringing dishes out and each time it was equally delicious. The staff was attentive, courteous and absolutely delightful. Antonio has a fine establishment and I urge anyone looking to have a great meal in the city to visit his restaurant. Parking is not a problem as there are lots everywhere that you can park your car. Loved it, can't wait to eat there again!

My wife and I love this place! The food is wonderful!
We eat there all the time and never get tired of it. The atmosphere is peaceful and mellow, service is excellent and I haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't like. On top of which the prices are very reasonable. I have recommended many friends go to Chiyono's and no one has been disappointed yet. In fact, most of them have become regular customers. My only concern is that everyone will find out what a secret gem the place is and we won't be able to get in!
My personal favorites are the saba shioyaki (grilled mackeral), kaku ni (stewed pork), and nasu miso (eggplant with miso). I also love the special avocado salad.
Note to really have a nice meal I recommend getting a 2-3 appetizers and 2 entrees and sharing.
Note if you are looking for sushi or teriyaki this is not the place. It is real Japanese home cooking. Enjoy!

My husband and I checked this out recently, as we live nearby. We really enjoyed the tiny Riposo wine bar in Hell's Kitchen. This one is not quite as charming, but is bigger so you are less crammed. Food is lovely. We shared yummy panini and flat-bread pizza. Nice selection of wines (get a bottle for the best buys). Friendly and efficient service. A perfect place for a relaxing glass of wine, tasty food, and quiet conversation.
Pros: Peaceful ambience, attentive service, good food
Cons: Some seats (stools) uncomfortable
