Is it me...or have the designers of Steve Madden upped it a notch? The designs are pretty fabulous and of current trends which is quite impressive compared to past seasons. The materials being used now look quite rich and no more contrast stitching (which can instantly cheapen the look) Check out the new styles and always check the sale section as new inventory pushes the old out: http://www.stevemadden.com I do have to agree with the other reviewers that although the styles are great, they sure skimped on comfort. I never did understand how a shoe can pass the evaluation stage when it has a wooden heel with an unwrapped insole. How can anyone be expected to walk around all day on wood? I love the look of Steve Madden shoes, and keep buying them because I like them so much, but have not worm a single pair longer than an hour because they are just too painful. I'm not sure what it is about Steve Madden shoes, but they never seem to be wearable. Make sure you walk around in them a lot before buying because no matter how cute they are, if you don't wear them - they aren't worth that sale price! One caveat - I think the guy's shoes from Steve Madden are a bit better in the comfort area...
