This tiny shop is good if you're into natural and organic yarns, they have a great selection of Rowan/DB/Manos. You won't find a glitzy or hairy thing in here, if you're into flash you should go elsewhere. The store can get really crowded with only a few people in it, so don't bring large bags or backpacks if you want to be comfortable.

Purl is a wonderful store, full of luxurious yarns and staffed by friendly , knowledgeable employees. They also have a large selection of needles and notions, though patterns are subject to a more limited selection. Some classes are offered, but the real allure of the store is the yarn. Alchemy silk and bamboo, Koigu, Rowan, luxurious cashmeres in an array of colors and weights -- every type of temptation known to knitters. The store also features a shopping website, which helps on the rare occasion when the store is low on the particular yarn you choose. whether you are just beginning, or an old hand, Purl is definitely worth a stop.
