While visiting New York City and Times Square we went out looking for a nice dinner out. We came across Rosie Grady's and I was pleasantly surprised that we could enjoy an fine meal out at a reasonable price. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend this eatery to anyone in the New York area.

Went for the first time last week. I was floored by the food. I haven't eaten in such decadence in a LONG LONG time. This is easily the best meal that I have had in NYC. I didn't think that the prices were too outrageous considering the portion size. My starter could have been an entree.
All that being said, the restaurant is sweet and the service is good without being over bearing.
I will be back. I will be back all the time.
Pros: quality food,amazing service
Cons: none

Stopped at Rosie's before seeing Jersey Boys. Nice and close to theater. It was empty and we were seated immediately. Menu did not impress. This is an Irish Pub and they do not serve corned beef on the dinner menu. I requested a hamberger, which was not on the menu, for the price of $12.00, a cheeseburger was $15.00 . It was OK, but not great. Tab with coffee, tax and tip $25.00.
Too Pricey for a Jersey Girl

I thought the $29 for 3 courses, fixed menu was a good idea but then dessert came and I thought I had bitten into a pebble. It wasn't that busy when we got there but by the time we were ready for our bill the place was filled and our waiter had forgotten about us. I even think at one point the manager brought out our food to us. A couple at the table next to us seemed to have some problems with their dining experience too. I wasn't evesdropping but our tables were so close together I felt like I was dining with them. There was some confusion about the kitchen being out of or not being out of something one of them wanted. I hope she got what she wanted without any pebbles in it!

I've been to Rosie O'Grady's many times for meetings as well as with my wife for dinner. Its located conveniently in the midtown/Times Sq. area which is always a plus for business meetings and groups. More importantly, the food is excellent as is the service. I've never been disappointed. Great steaks and seafood, nice ambiance.

I've visited this restaurant twice - once in Oct. 2007 and again in Jan. 2008. In October, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience AFTER the floor manager took over for our waitress whose shift apparently ended during our meal. And her attitude suggested that it was time for her to leave. Despite the rocky start, the only complaint I had was that the restaurant was drafty.
When I returned in January, I was eager to take friends there but it was a bust. One person's soup was cold, the grilled WARM portobello soup was cold, the bread was cold to the touch, and one coffee was cold (whipped cream floated in it like an iceberg). The lobster ravioli which my friend enjoyed in Oct. was bland in Jan. Our waiter was perfectly indifferent to our requests/complaints (telling us that that they don't serve WARM bread when we told him the bread wasn't even room temperature - which isn't saying that much given that the restaurant was again drafty). Also, I spoke with the floor managers about my differing experiences at the restaurant and how I would be hesitant to return in the future. They thanked me for my feedback and offered nothing - no dessert, no discount, no apology to the table.
So while I plan to return to the area often, I will spread the word and will not return to that restaurant. This is the first review that I've ever been moved to write. So steer clear. While your experience could be good, it just might not be.
Pros: Close to Broadway
Cons: Everything else. It's just a roll of a dice as to what kind of service you'll have from night to night.

Rosie O'Grady's is not known for it's food, but where it lacks it makes up with in the bar. It is huge, ready to accomidate large partys. Nice, older feel
