I support whole-heartedly the concept of table side guacamole and the fantastic margaritas, as Dos Caminos has both. As you can see from previous raves, the concentration has been on both. But after that stellar beginning, the main course falls flat. I'm all for creativity, especially when it comes to food, so I was sorely disappointed by this restaurant. The marriage of flavors and ingredients here always confuse me, and never cease to surprise me, not in a good way. A strange poblano duck special still haunts me to this day. Frankly, if they were to do the guacamole preparation at the bar, I would never both going back to sitting down at one of their tables. You can pretend to have an eclectic palate while eating their food, but admit it, you really don't like it.

the best guacamole made at your table - this is a must order if you visit the restaurant. the atmosphere is lively and loud. also great margaritas and sangrias! we kept ordering pitchers after pitchers of the sangrias. good place to hangout with friends and good for celebrations too. reservations fill up fast especially for the weekend nights so make sure you call early!

I've been back multiple times for dinner and birthday parties and it's always a great time. The guacamole rocks, the prickly pear margaritas are delicious, and the space has high ceilings, cool interior design and very good-looking people. Highly recommended for groups and dates alike, Dos Caminos is a sure bet!

I had a birthday dinner here and it was fabulous. The prickly pear margaritas are so delicious, and the food was very tasty. The atmosphere is wild and fun, a little noisy, but it's perfect for a group of people. In typical Latin American food fashion, the guacamole that is served to your table was one of the best I've had in Manhattan - just an all around winner of a restaurant for Mexican cuisine.

Dos Caminos is very trendy. The ambiance is definately for the new age. Very dim lighting, lots of fixtures. The best part about this place is the guacamole. All of the appetizers are pretty good, the entrees arent too exciting. They sound good, but are pretty average. This is the place to hang out, not really the food. Except the guac....its great. Not a traditional tex mex place
