This is a fun lunch place in Tribeca. They've got barbecue, salads, sandwiches, and, if you want to be really sinful - the best plate of potato chips with warm melted blue cheese, bring friends for that one!
If you're watching your figure and your budget, a great deal here is that they allow you to order a HALF sandwich AND a side order (string beans, spinach, potatoes...) for $5.95! I love the smoked chicken sandwich.
Sitting outside is lovely on a sunny day, but, be warned, you'll be sitting underneath air conditioning units from the apartment above Bubby's and you may get dripped on.
This is one of those places to go if you're tired of "the same old", there's something to satisfy everyone.

Bubby's is good, but I don't think it's best brunch I've ever had. I don't think it would even rate my top ten. The location is very family friendly, as well as known to be a celebrity-sighting type of spot, therein lies the appeal. But I do wonder if you have to be a celebrity to get the kind of delicious food other people seem to rave about.
While there are some unique combinations on their brunch menu, they don't always strike the right note. A personal experience with their Salmon Florentine Eggs Benedict taught me that just because it's got a cult following, it doesn't mean they're always right.

Hmmmm How about the potato chips with warm blue cheese dressing? Adn I dont' really eat pie, but damn it if I don't have some where I come here! The cuisine has the same kind of stylish, determinedly casual feel as the decor. You can stick to the tasty sandwiches or order up more substantial fare (some think the pies alone make Bubby's worth the trip). There's also a spacious barroom and some nice corner alcove seats. The shiny brass bar adds a touch of class, and the staff mixes an excellent cocktail. There are even seats outside for warmer weather.
