$1 is all you need at Fried Dumpling. Five fried, crescent-shaped dumplings either stuffed with pork or vegetarian style are yours for the value of four quarters. Still hungry? That's fine. A lincoln will get you four pork puns to go with that. Or how about some hot & sour, wonton or egg drop soup? whip out some more chance and you can cash this all down with a Snapple or some high-protein soy milk.

Which is quite find by me living on a college student budget. Whether it is pan fried, boiled, or baked dumpling has been a staple of the chinese for generations. They are cheap, easy to make and very satisfying. Its no wonder why this place is a place that i go every so often.

This shang hai dumpling joint is no where to be found unless you now the exact address or someone showed you where it is. That's because this place is small, they only have tables and chairs for the customers. The dumplings are excellent even though they cost $1.00 for 5. On the side of the table they provide chilli sauce and vinegar for diping. They also sell other shang hai specialities, such as pan cake, tea eggs and hot soy bean milk. Al within $2.00 or less for each item!
