I know where my bathing suit body went - it was left on Ninth Avenue after one too many black & whites. They are the crowning glory of Island Burger for me.
As far as food is concerned, you can order just about anything you can think of and they will put it on top of a burger or grilled chicken breast (called a churrasco) - there is a menu of suggestions options, but you can just build your own. No fries (they thought about putting in a fryer and it just didn't pan out).
Not the quickest service, but great food.
The chili is SUPER HOT. You will want lots of chips and water with it. The salads are great (and LARGE). Not my favorite cup of guacamole, but it will do in a pinch.
They deliver. CASH ONLY across the boards.

I'm determined to get it right here, even if I have to go back 100 times. This is by far the biggest menu I've seen with variations of pretty much the same thing: hamburger and chicken sandwich. You can get them blackened, Thai, Italian, Mexican and many more ways. I ate here once and had a great tasting chicken sandwich; well cooked and very flavorful, but picked the wrong bread so ended up eating it fork and knife style. Prices are very reasonable but be warned they don't take cash and they don't have fries, which can be disappointing if you're looking for a greasefest. This is a better place to find a quick, fairly healthy, and filling meal.

This is handsdown m favorite place to get burgers in the city. The burgers are large and juicy and you can get your choice of many ingredients. Try the Derby burger which has bacon, bleu cheese, and fresh avocados. You won't be disappointed! Their black and white milkshake is great with the burger. The only downside is that there are no fries on their menu.

this place locate in the hart of hells kitchen, and has it unique spot in the hart of the locals. the small sign look like an old fashion, but as you enter the place you will fine modern simple design. the manue is made from more then 30 burgers, and 30 chicken sandwiches. additionaly you may found side orders, and thats it, IT IS A BURGER PLACE!
the price are moderate 7-12$ for bergur and frise, it all depend what have you choosen. my favorite is Black And Blue, it is blue chease on top of blackened(southeren style) burger.

Island Burgers has really good burgers. Or so I've heard. I always get the chicken sandwiches (they have like 50 varieties) which are AMAZING. Also huge.
And dont' forget about the Shakes part of Island Burgers & Shakes. They are also brilliant.
The food is excellent and the prices are great. The only possible negative is the atmosphere. It's a teensy place and always looks a little dingy. I'm also not SURE if it has air conditioning, so you may not want to go there on a hot summer day.
