It is often best to just go sit at the sushi bar and put yourself and your stomach in the hands of the chef, Yasuda, to give you whatever he thinks is best that day. But don't ask for an explanation of any of the stranger dishes from the waiters. They'll just give you a blank look.

One of the best freshest sushi places in New York if you can handle the slightly gruff and confusing service. It is often best to just go sit at the sushi bar and put yourself and your stomach in the hands of the chef, Yasuda, to give you whatever he thinks is best that day. I know someone who is a sushi snob and says that Nobu’s sushi is only average. In his opinion, Sushi Yasuda is one of the best places for sushi in New York City. He claims that everything from taste to technique are great here. The prices are quite expensive, but I think it is worth it if you truly enjoy good sushi.
