The food here is great and comes out quite quickly. The restaurant is a little loud and sometimes it is hard to hear across the table, but it is a quick enough and delicious enough meal that those qualities outweight the noise.
The portions are super large (very unlike NYC restaurants) and the food is very inexpensive. The restaurant has a ton of seating so you never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes for a table, even on a Friday night. The groups of people outside are proof of how good this place is! I take all my friends and relatives from out of town here and everyone loves it. Truly delicious Vietnamese food.

For take out or delivery this place is unbeatable. The combination of superb Vietnamese food and bargain prices make this place so packed that take out or delivery are a must. The thai influenced Vietnamese cuisine is a good as any in the city. A few of the appetizers are below par, but if you stick to entrees you will not be disappointed.

The Saigon Grill, located in the 90s on the Upper West Side, is a genuine New York bargain. The décor is nothing to get too excited about, but the array of food choices and especially the price is exceptionally good compared to similar restaurants in this area. Portions are large and the food is always fresh. The restaurant, which used to be subject to long queues outside waiting for a table, has recently expanded and now includes a spacious sushi bar.

Saigon Grill does offer meat and seafood dishes but it's the veggie plates that get me moving. They offer huge plates of rice and vegetables for under $10. The spring rolls could possibly be the best I've ever had. And there is this crazy calamari salad that I would never had ordered if it wasn't for a friend and it's like nothing I've ever had before. This Saigon Grill on the west side was just a small whole in the wall two years ago. Now it's absolutely huge which means no more standing in line and no more eating by the kitchen. Fast, polite service tops it off.

This place is amazing. It keeps expanding yet it's always full. Food is great. There's something for everyone. They've added sushi and other items to an already huge menu. It's very cheap too.

This place is much bigger than I had envisioned. It is also very clean and contemporary. Their food is good and as close to authentic as you can get. We ordered five main dishes, three appetizers, and four desserts, and the check came out to about one hundred dollars before tip. It is definitely a good deal and a great place.
