Cafe Europa was packed tonight with a pre-marathon pasta crowd (they had a special deal). I had an arrugula and paramasian salad (very good) and linguini with marinara sauce. Amy had the chicken salad. The food was simple, but good, and the service was very good for how crowded the place was. It had a nice buzz to it - lots of skinny marathoners (including me - ok - not so skinny - but a marathoner) sucking down pasta in preparation for the race. I finished it off with an outstanding chocolate gelato - it's worth stopping by just for this.

I saw bugs crawling around in the bathroom and flies buzzing around the trash can. Then, I saw bugs on the tables as well. By this time I threw out my food and left. I could not believe how filthy this place was and how many people were still eating there. Plus, the music was so loud I couldn't hear myself think!
