When a table became available, the man who greeted us at the restaurant came to the bar to let us know our table was ready. My boyfriend and I discovered this out-of-the-way, cash-only, cozy spot and have been reluctant to tell friends and family about it as we want it to remain our little secret! It's as close to perfect as I've found in Manhattan: romantic setting, friendly owner and wait staff, reasonably priced wine list and some of the best home-cooked Italian food I've ever had (I highly recommend the gnocci and the lasagna and the specials are often quite good). It's truly a hidden gem, and one I keep going back to at least twice a month even though it's not at all convenient to my work or home. It's just that worth it. Pros: Price, Food, Atmosphere Cons: It can get a bit noisy and the tables are close together

There's no bar, so expect to give your name and then have a drink at Voon next door or possibly at Manhatta. The decor is country-house charm, though there's one unfinished wall (of exposed brick), which needs some covering. The tables are too close together, but the crowd noise manages to create some privacy.

Bianca restuarant is a very no-nonsense Italian restuarant. I have been frequenting this place for a long time now and they have always given me excellent service. The gnocci with cheese is one of the most scrumptious dish I've ever tasted. What I love is you get great quality and service, but you're also paying a very very decent price. If you want REAL food (and not those nonsense portions that'll cost you $45 per "plate"), this is the place to go.

I have now had dinner at Bianca three times and my experience just keeps getting better and better. From the kind staff who managed to store all of our work bags and even 2 suitcases to the unbelievable meals, I could not be any happier. As an appetizer, you must start with the puff triangles with cheese - it is the best! I can't wait to bring more friends to Bianca. It is a perfect spot any night of the week. And there is a terrific wine bar next store for an after dinner drink. Pros: appetizers, staff
