Adorable little Middle Eastern restaurant that feels almost hidden away in the West Village. I ate here years ago and kind of forgot about how much I enjoy it until eating there today. Food was great, ambience very nice. Somewhat slow service, but I wasn't in a hurry today so I didn't mind.
Pros: Great food, better ambience than many Middle Eastern places
Cons: Slow service

The wood fire pizzas are amazing. The thin pita like crust is crunch and a little sweet. The garlic chicken topping is so good my stomach is growling just thinking about it.
Cash only and space is tight.

Otherwise, this place was fantastic. If you can't afford a trip to Turkey, then you should come here. Service was impeccable! A very patient waitress answered all my questions for my dietary needs. Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Oh God! The pita bread alone was big, fluffy and inflated! The hummus was so fresh! I highly recommend the "ouzi" which is rice in a pastry with chicken and herbs - oh! to die for! I will definately be coming back! Oh, BTW - you must try the middle eastern beer! yum!
Pros: Food, Service, Beer
Cons: No Credit Cards

great food, good service, wonderful prices for homemade food that you just have to go back again for. Sort of Greek, Turkish food with incredible pizzas and hummus. better call ahead to see if they serve more than wine and beer. no reservations can be a headache in cold weather but if you hit at a little off time you can walk right in and have a great meal for not so much money. I think they are open for lunch and till at least midnight.
Pros: great food, easy on budget, nice staff
Cons: tiny place, waiting on sidewalk, no hard liquor

I really havent had mediterranean food at a restaurant since Cookies and Couscous on Thompson closed down. Let me tell you, I really enjoyed this place. The food was great. I absolutely hate communal seating and closely spaced tables and this place had both, but the atmosphere and the food were such that I was able to get beyond the grumpy mood that put me in to have a really good experience. I would even go back and sit among a crowd of strangers. I had the leg of lamb sandwich (cold) and my wife had the merguez sandwich (warm). They were both excellent. The pitas are oven baked fresh. Absolutely delicious!
Pros: The Pitas, Service
Cons: communal Seating, Crowded

the food was wonderful, the hummus, soo creamy. I was there on a Tuesday night, not crowded at all, and we were not rushed to finish. the waiter was friendly and very helpful making suggestions for a group of three to share. I will be dining there again! the place is small, and they only take cash, so I recommend smaller groups of people.
Pros: inexpensive, relaxed atmosphere, good food!
