Maz Mezcal is a great Mexican restaurant on the Upper East Side. I tend to order the chicken mole every time because it is really good, and there's enough food to take it home and make a 2nd meal of it.
The guacamole is great, it's served in a nacho chip bowl, so you can eat it after you're done dipping the rest of it.
Margaritas, as another reviewer said, pack a punch, boy are they good!
Atmosphere is festive - if you eat in the back, they often put kids there, so if you prefer a quieter meal, try the dining area at the front of the restaurant, or outside if weather permits.
Definitely make reservations before going.

I've always enjoyed coming to this lively Mexican restaurant. It's normally very crowded, so be sure to make reservations at least a day in advance. My only complaint is that on days they are very busy, they try to turn over the tables very quickly. We actually had a waiter tell us to either order more drinks or leave as they needed the table. Besides that, I've always liked the place. The margaritas are good and strong. Try the sopapillas for dessert; they are delicious!
